"Inexpensive. Convenient location. Be AWARE that there are SMOKING rooms right next door to the NON-smoking rooms and that the smoke from the adjacent room can sometimes be smelled in your non-smoking room. Also, the occupants of the SMOKING room might smoke right outside your non-smoking room's door. The pool was caput and likely to remain so. I didn't look for a fitness room. There was NO free breakfast (the banner advertising Breakfast is referring to the possibility of eating at the attached restaurant). The attached restaurant appears boarded up. Although it was advertised by the banner and had an OPEN sign, I wasn't tempted to try the door to find out if it was in operation. There was a small fridge and microwave in the room, also a TV and a tiny one-cup coffee machine (so cute). The WiFi worked. The shower worked, but I couldn't get the mechanism to fill the tub instead. The hot water was hot, yay! The towels and blankets were thin. The heater in the room worked, so the thin blankets were not a big problem. Service staff were friendly and helpful. "I never promised you a..." Recommended for the budget-minded. I was grateful for a good night's sleep."
"We came into town for a Sharks game. We booked a suite that was supposed to sleep 6 people. It only slept 4 so we had to go ask for a rollaway. The front desk was rude and charged us more money for a rollaway. The hotel is older which is fine... but it was dirty there were spider webbs and furniture and floor was stained and dirty. There was music from the neighbor room that played all night and I Do NOT recommend and would never stay here again."
"I didn't rent the room myself so I haven't idea about the service. The room the bathroom, and the bedding were very clean everything worked for example the tv, ac/heater, all of the lamps, the alarm clock, the telephone, the blow-dryer, as well as the refrigerator. The rooms have definitely had a lot of use yet it was thoroughly cleaned which to me is more important than the rug being a little worn or scuffs on the bathroom door etc. I give this place a 5 star rating based on the price and cleanliness, and I guess for the service as well if I consider the cleaning staff as service. I will recommend this hotel to friends and family as well as anyone reading my review."
"Nice but not the cleanest and no smiles anywhere. Has changed ownership many many times over the last 20 years, not sure what thats about. Seems to have cleaned up recently and has stayed that way so thats a plus. But even outside everywhere on the property seems like it wants a powerwashing and a new coat of paint. Sticky floors etc. But nicer than most places for the price, thats FOR SURE."
"Great location. Now on to the bad stuff. Rooms: 1/5. We found mold in our room, it reeked of cigarettes, I'm amazed there weren't bed bugs. It was disgusting. I've never seen such a horrid hotel, and I have seen my fair share from cheap to expensive. Service: 1/5. What a joke. We went in to complain regarding the mold. There was no apology. The only amount they could refund was 10% because "we took too long to complain." When you drive for 5 hours to get somewhere, you're not exactly in the most chipper of shape so I'm sorry that it took me an hour to come in and talk about this. That doesn't excuse the fact that there's mold in the room. And mold doesn't develop over the course of an hour. Or maybe it does and we're on the verge of some super fungus killing us all? But I really really doubt that. But once again, they don't apologize. They offered a MUCH cheaper room (but of course I would still be paying my full room rate for that) and beyond that, they threatened to call the police on us, specifically my partner, a black woman, at the mere notion of our complaint. Also, side note, the pool was out. For the summer. In a beach town. HOW? For $180 I should not have to deal with this joke of a place or their racist service. Don't go here. You will get better value at a motel 6."
