"Pleasant, charming, clean, uh, “cozy”. In perfect candor the rooms are tiny. I’m 5’ 11” and had no problems but a friend a few inches taller would bump into his lamps at night he said, lol. But the night porter was awesome and I’d stay there again for its convenience to other parts of the city and proximity to colorful bars."
"Small but well appointed rooms. Always new touches. We LOVE the new tile on the floor in the lobby. Great staff. Convenient, friendly, cozy. Love the mural over the bed!!"
"Great place to stay for a true San Francisco experience. Cute rooms in an original city building with charm and modern upgrades. It smells great inside. Quiet patio out back. We stayed in a 2 bedroom room which gave us 2 queens and an alcove room with a double, and one bathroom. Walkable to many parks and restaurants and Haight street. A few notes for out of towners. Yes there are a few homeless people around, just give them space and they won’t bother you. And the hotel is an old building, not the Hilton. There is no coffee maker, the heater in winter is a space heater (more than enough), no room service. And parking is the street or a secure parking garage 3 blocks away. But again, a local experience vs generic hotel."
"Great little boutique hotel with friendly staff, small but clean rooms, and comfortable beds. Well decorated. Not your corporate hotel - a nice change. Close to restaurants and coffeehouses. I’d stay again. I also appreciated all the Christmas decorations and music for a December stay. Nice to see some holiday spirit!"
"The location is great if you want something near a lot of different non-downtown attractions. There is tons of food in the area as well. You're spoiled for choices. The hotel is nice and I was happy with my room. I just wouldn't call this a 4 star hotel. It's more a 3 star hotel for me. Perfect for a place to sleep and explore the area but not a spot I'd linger in my room beyond needing to sleep."
