"Charming hotel by a creek. Very dog friendly. Close to many nearby trails and driving distance to point reyes"
"A December 27, 2023, visit was nice. Rain dampened the experience, which is probably better during any season other than winter. This is a unique property that is aging well. It is well maintained. It is a visual delight and compliments the surrounding landscape of West Marin and Point Reyes. The accommodations were good with a nice bed in the loft (Room 18) and a sofa bed on the main floor. Our only complaints were centered on the warmth of the room and the motion activated stair lights. Even though the hotel is on the coast, the rooms seemed to be more than warm. This is not particular to us as the room does have lots of fans and a free-standing air conditioning unit. The motion activated light at the top of the stair well lit every time I changed bed positions. I eventually put a bag over the lamp so it would not come on. I noticed in the morning that my son, who was sleeping downstairs, put pillows over the lights illuminating the stairs as they obviously came on when the top lamp was activated. However, in spite of the fact that my son was not overly concerned about me tumbling down the stairs in the dark, I completely understand why the step lights are in place as the bathroom is on the ground floor. There was a small blip in getting into our room on a cold and rainy afternoon. Management took care of us. Overall, an enjoyable stay and we looking to returning in the future."
"We had a wonderful stay at Olema house on my birthday weekend trip to Point Reyes area. I wish there was more to do in the area that we could have stayed for one more night. Do note that it's quite on the pricier side - but the grounds, room, bedding, jacuzzi, decor and the attention to details justify that. The grounds are well maintained lush green and there is a small creek running by. It's pretty nice to relax and lounge around on the swings and play corn hole. They knew it was my birthday and had kept a birthday card with a bag of artisanal caramel popcorn in the room which tasted sooo good! There is a tavern attached next door where we had a dinner reservation. Food was decent and the quality was good. Overall a very nice comfortable and luxurious stay."
"Stayed four nights, just about perfect for location if you're looking to spend time in the park hiking, shopping, or just drinking coffee in the morning sun. Patio door and window hardware was tired/broken but otherwise very well appointed room. No TVs in room and I like that. Not staffed round the clock so just know that but honestly if you're not sleeping you'll be out all day anyway as Point Reyes is just a magical place. Exterior room doors (like proper Old West style accommodations) make it a really nice come-and-go atmosphere. Parking gets crowded on weekends so you might have to park just down the road a couple hundred feet at the restaurant. But SAFE, felt secure and comfortable which I can't say for San Francisco these days sadly."
"We had a fabulous getaway here. Beautiful grounds, lovely room with lots of care to detail. Home made cookie and a bottle of wine we’re waiting for us. Great spot in the back to stargaze near the fireplace under blankets they provide. Corn hole and horseshoes in the garden too! Only hiccup was that they don’t provide breakfast even though it says breakfast included on Google maps."
