Reviews
"I am not sure how this place has a 4.5-star review. I got to my room, and it was absolutely disgusting- the carpet on the floor was probably 50 years old with all the stains it experienced. I did not want to take my shoes off—such a pit. I read and trust reviews. That's why I am leaving this here- stay away, disgusting! I am attaching a picture of my carpet in the room."
"This place was absolutely awesome. It is a historical building that has been renovated. The rooms are absolutely outfitted with everything that one would need for a comfy stay. The beds were one of the best nights sleep I’ve had in a long time. They also had a minibar available in the room along with the craw Foote bathtub."
"I'm in awe with this place. It's all about the details. Restored with so much care for the style of the past and history of the place. So you get the best of it without smell of mothballs. Hard wood work everywhere, you won't see much of anything like that in our days. Great old school bar in the basement (open only on Fridays and Saturdays).. Location is fantastic, close to Redwoods and the coastline."
"Loved our stay at Scotia Lodge, what a beautiful building - perfectly restored. Rooms were super comfortable, very dog friendly. The bartender Jesse was a great storyteller - grew up in the area and has tons of recommendations for stops heading north or south out of town. We’ll definitely stay here again when we’re in the area!"
"My husband and I went on a historical tour of the lodge last night. Samantha and Caylin were our guides. They made the tour really fun! Samantha told some great stories too and made us laugh. We enjoyed exploring the lodge and learning about its history. Such a beautiful building with amazing architecture. We have stayed here before and are looking forward to another stay in the near future. The rooms are gorgeously decorated and the staff are all very friendly."
