About the Business
The Society of St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store is a charitable institution located at 2275 Watt Avenue, Sacramento, California. We accept donations of gently used goods and furniture to provide to those in need through our local parish conferences. The revenues generated from the sales of donated items support our programs and special projects aimed at helping those in need. Our store has a donation center at the back with black gates for drop-offs. Weekend donations are limited to clothing, linen, shoes, accessories, books, and media. All sales are final with no refunds or exchanges. If an item doesn't have a tag, it cannot be sold. For those unable to visit our store, our donation truck will be in West Sac on April 6th & 7th. We also have four Blue Donation Bin Locations for convenience. The Sacramento Diocesan Council Society of St. Vincent de Paul follows a non-discrimination policy, providing assistance to all in need regardless of race, religion, or other considerations.

Reviews
"First time in this store. Better prices than goodwill. I bought so much stuff for $45. I will definitely make regular stops there."
"I was introduced to St Vincent's about 5 years ago and it is still my favorite in the area. The staff have always been excellent and I've found some very nice things from clothing to furniture. We still visit every month or so."
"Place looks amazing now much bigger more stuff but pricing has gotten out of hand. I skip goodwill for over charging and used to go to smaller thrift shops like this. Was in there the other day and clothing was way too expensive and so was dish sets ."
"Went in to see if I could exchange a skirt to a different one of the same price. The original skirt I bought didn't work for the project I needed it to and I had bought it earlier that day. The manager was passive aggressive and rude and told me it was my fault and the receipt said all sales are final, the receipt that I was given and ripped and I couldn't see the final sales part. I would not suggest you talk to the manager if you go here"
"I found a Ralph Lauren purse here for $20. When it got to the cash register it rang up for $.99 cents. The cashier kept scanning and the price was set at $.99 cents. I mentioned, “if that is what it’s ringing up as, that’s the price I should get it at.” The cashier attempted to get a supervisor to see if I could get it at that price. After several minutes. I was told “No, I could not have the purse at the price it’s ringing up for.” I then requested a small discount due to all the confusion and time wasted while attempting to ring up the item. I was once again told “No”. I advised the management I have been a customer for almost two (2) decades and this is how you treat customers when it’s your “Skrew up” it will be a very long time before I set foot in this place. I found St. Vincent De Paul to be very greedy and dissatisfying. One star for this location. They need to do better."
