"My brother went in for an interview today and it was such an unprofessional and awkward experience for him. The manager apparently “forgot” about the interview SHE CALLED HIM about. Ridiculous I can’t imagine how they treat their employees yikes definitely dodged a bullet."
"Seen all the tiktok buzz and decided to drop in while I was on vaca down here. It’s called a good will. But it’s not good willed at all. Gotta think they get all these items for free and to charge $30 for a Shein dress is just beyond me. The prices are high as hell! I seen a $1 worn out pair of flip flops from the dollar tree for $14.00. A used Fanny pack was $10, and the cheapest pair of tennis shoes I could find were $8.00 but most were $20+. Never again will bad will get my money. They also request you round up your change to support some good will foundation or somethin if they don’t take advantage of their customers enough. CEOs of the company getting strictly profits. Most customers come for the cheap prices- $20 used to get me 2 outfits. Shoes and all. What about the homeless and the poor and middle class families? What about college students? What about our veterans? This is a goodwill for the wealthy. All the nicer items get auctioned off or staff takes the nicer stuff home. Goodwill doesn't look out for anyone but their greedy selves and the wealthy class."
"In short, horrible, disgusting, and disappointing experience at this Goodwill new location as a Goodwill lover! The cashier overrides the automatic 50% off price from the system and changes the total right before the customer puts in a card to pay. The second time visited this location, and the first time drove my mother to this location to spend together an evening as thrift store lovers, I would say that our experience was horrible and unacceptable. While the store is mostly overpriced on many specific range of items, the area of packed clothes (for example, t-shirt packs) is ridiculously overpriced. Even the 50% off price is higher than the price at my frequently visited store in Garden Grove. Some items that are sold simultaneously at other stores (for example, college paper packs) are priced double compared to other stores. In order to make clients lefty the store earlier, I would say that this store intentionally turned off the background music in the last hour it opened. It does not need to be mentioned clearly, that the feeling of shopping in a silent store is not a comfortable way to shop, and in my point of view, it's clearly not a welcome to the customer who was currently shopping in the store at that time. The main reason for our horrible experience at this store is at the cash register and the experience with the cashier. Almost every Goodwill lover knows that not only the color of the week's items is 50% off, but all the previous week's sale color items are on sale, too. For example, today's week's color is purple, representing the week included Oct 4, 2023, every single item before this specific date that is still left in the store is automatically on sale as common sense (this is also confirmed with me before by a Goodwill employee and most important, Goodwill's cash register - automatic 50% off). Today, after nearly four years of experience shopping with Goodwill, the first time, the cashier reversed the automatic 50% off at the machine and then attempted to charge us right before I put the card in and after he told us the total. I did mention that this item was in last week's sale/rotation so it is true that the system sale is 50% off, but he firmly wants to charge us full price with the reason "This is not the color of the week". We were both in shock and after the attempt to point out and explain why the system automatically sold the item at the 50% off price, I gave up and back the item in both disappointment and furious. The action he crushing the original receipt in front of the customers (to hide the fact that he overrides the discount of the system) is highly disrespectful and impolite. One of the rare times in my life that I went into the store and was treated as if I begged them for food or money. Thinking about the incident, I would say that it explains this store had too much leftover color from the last week's item. As a big brand like Goodwill, I expected Goodwill's employees to be trained better and most importantly, respect their customers at minimum requirements. P.S.: I should know better and read other reviews carefully before having a horrible experience at this location. I really don't want to receive an automatic and boring reply as "92 cents..." or "sad to hear" without any meaningful actions, it's useless for the customers who are offended and had horrible experiences."
"The moment you enter, smells really good, clean and fresh, the store is big, and well organized, the first day I went it was the week of the grand opening but the only special price tag, the orange was 25% off. What?!!! No way. I always go straight to the dresses, I love dresses and skirts but OMG! Prices are ridiculous, this is the MOST EXPENSIVE THRIFT STORE I HAVE VISITED in 8 cities. There are a lot of cheap dresses from Shein and Ross at 17.99 dlls. Ridiculous!!! That's the standard price for dresses, the cheapest are at 12.99 dlls but very few, I find the dresses very ugly and not much selection of skirts. Blouses the same, pricy. No thanks. I will never visit that goodwill again or other that price the dresses at 17.99 with very low quality. Savers, The salvation Army and other thrifts have better selection and prices."
"Yes it’s very nice inside but I honestly don’t think this location even qualifies as a thrift store anymore. I was honestly shocked by the prices as soon as I walked in. Considering most of what goodwill sells is donated and used, and that their other stores don’t have nearly as high of prices, this store’s audacity is straight up ridiculous (see the picture of a literal *broken* soap dispenser for $8.99). Not to mention that they actually are selling SO many new items like an entire aisle filled on both sides of brand new platform dancing heels. Most clothing items are $8-$25 with the majority of them being $14 or $15. Seriously what is happening??? These are UNWASHED USED DONATED clothes and goodwill is not a boutique!! For your sake just go to Salvation Army or the bins."
