"A common courtesy, for thrift especially, don’t put things in your store if you don’t want to sell them. Period. I went in today and saw something that caught my eye, an antique ironing press from the 50’s. Its cord was cut, but I repair stuff when I can. I’m not a reseller btw, just an antique enthusiast. There was an obvious sticker tag on this item that had been worn down, but didn’t appear intentional. Clearly this thing had been here awhile, but there was a tag so I asked if it was still for sale. The cashier asked his manager, as far as I know, and the answer was no. So maybe take the obvious tag off, or better yet don’t have it on display. It’s false advertising the quality of items at this store to be frank, everything but RARE."

"Cute, (mostly) organized, and chic. Very nice employees. Prices are fair. Caters firmly to the “vintage” crowd, I’ve found a lot of good pieces here. There’s usually free 90-minute parking in the front. Paid structure in the back if it’s full, which is annoying to have to pay."

"RARE by Goodwill stands out as a unique Goodwill destination, where thrift shopping transcends expectations. The elevated inventory caters to those seeking higher-end treasures, providing a distinctive and upscale experience. Beyond the allure of quality finds, every purchase supports Goodwill's vital mission—funding job training and community programs for individuals overcoming employment barriers. It's not just a store; it's a gateway to premium second-hand discoveries with a purpose."

"RARE is like a boutique of treasures in the world of thrifting. It's a haven for those seeking unique and hard-to-find items that you won't typically come across at your average thrift store. With that in mind, it's worth noting that the prices align with the exclusivity of their inventory. They also do not offer a daily 50% color tag discount like your normal goodwill. It's a treasure trove for vintage and rare finds, but it's not the place for budget-conscious shoppers. This location is in an awkward place, i almost did not see the building, and the parking is very limited."

"Cool resale shop with an Urban Outfitters vibe. Men's t shirts were $6-8; I bought a sweater for $12. Probably a good spot for women's jeans but obviously you have to dig. Friendly staff, beautiful building."
