Tenuta's Italian Restaurant 2995 South Clement Avenue, Milwaukee, WI 53207

"First time here for valentines dinner on weekend of valentines. Had resverations seated promptly service was really good. Our waitress was amazing on point and they constantly cleared our plates. BUT chairs are super uncomfortable, and most importantly food (although looks good) is beyond bland. Needed more seasoning on everything. Not worth the price. My boyfriend ended up not liking his first dish of lamb meatballs do to hard pepper seeds all in dish (which had he known never would have ordered) but our waitress very kindly brought him chicken parm instead which was tasty but not worth $20 for soemthing we can cook at home. I had the salmon which was cooked really well, but zero seasoning. On top of my Brussels sprouts with bacon and squash and my “crispy” potatoes. All needed so much more seasoning. Honestly Olive Garden has more flavors. This was my first time here and my boyfriend had been here before but said it was different. And unfortunately we will not be back. Not terrible but so not worth it. Nothing special"

"Great small Italian restaurant. I love that they use big ole empty tomato cans for the pizza risers. The past appears to be made it house and is quite good. The bolognese sauce was on the sweeter side, I just wish the dish had a bit more sauce than noodles. Overall a great romantic spot. I would love to return to try more items on the menu"

"I had a similar experience to another reviewer (see Christopher Archer). We had a reservation for 8:30pm for a birthday celebration. We weren't seated until 9pm, finally got water at 9:30 and didn't get our meals until almost 10:30pm. The food was fine, don't waste your time on the shrimp scampi though. Mushroom ravioli is a must, hint of sweetness and savory, the dish was excellent. Besides the disorganization and timeliness, we had an enjoyable meal."

"Ate outside, shaded was perfect. Scampi, Special, Tenuta salad, Burrata.. took a thin and crispy to go sausage pepperoni heated up well the next day.. it was both thin and crispy... I'd repeat the same food or try something new. Try the espresso martini shaken over ice."

"This place was just WOW. I’ve lived in Milwaukee since 2012 and it’s my first time visiting. We absolutely loved the food. We got the meatballs for appetizers & Cesar salad. We got the Virgin classic pizza- we LOVED IT. Seriously so delicious. We also got pastas and they were great as well. We didn’t make a reservation so we had to sit at the bar which was no problem for us. Would definitely make reservations next time, they seem VERY busy. Service great- food great- can’t wait to come back!"
