Stitched Up

"I recently had my wedding dress altered with sleeves added at Stitched up. Nora either canceled or rescheduled every appointment I had. Some rescheduled appointments were rescheduled. I showed up one day and there was another customer waiting at the locked door. I texted Nora and she told me my appointment was for the next week but did not specify that through text and had to tell the other customer that she wasn’t coming. Picking up my dress was difficult. I was supposed to pick it up on Wednesday which turned to Thursday then Friday morning then Friday night then Sunday morning to Sunday evening we finally got it. Overall, the dress looked nice after all the things I wanted changed/added, although it was too long and I was constantly tripping over it all night. The lace I had added to the sleeves had loose thread all over that kept getting caught on the dress when I moved my arms and lace fell off during the day. I received fair compensation for the time wasted but they were overpriced to begin with which made the end price a price you would pay anywhere else for better service and most likely a better outcome. Just know what you’re in for when booking with them."

"Not the best experience I have had with a tailor. First of all, we had our pickup appointment rescheduled three times, which was very inconvenient. It took us sending multiple messages even for us to pick up our bridesmaids dresses. Once we were finally able to get them, the tailoring was not up to par for how much it cost. Many strings were hanging off of the bottom that was hemmed, the eye on the hook above the zipper was missing, and other stitching done on the dress was done loosely. The business had not been very professional towards us as customers. Not to mention how overpriced it was compared to other local tailors!"

Erin was a perfectionist, which I really appreciate, and we completely redesigned my dress to make it uniquely my own! Nora also hand embroidered a text detail into the train of my dress which was subtle and beautiful. Each fitting was totally safe, clean, easy, and enjoyable. Stitched Up seriously made my wedding dress dreams come true, and I couldn't be more grateful for this experience!"
