"Sent this into Staples corporate and thought I would share with the world! I was in the store today at 12:15. When I walked in, I saw two associates at the front. I did not receive a greeting, which wouldn’t be expected but it’s relevant because of the incident and indicative of what’s to come. I had three items in my arms that I was returning for Amazon. I said, “I am here for Amazon returns, do I go here?” and I gestured to a table area to my left. “Go over there,” an employee responded. The employee in question was a short heavy set Asian female in her 20s. I walked over to the copy/scan area where there was a sign that stated, “Amazon Returns,” and waited for my turn. The nice employee at the copy/scan desk let me know someone would be with her shortly. Great! After she acknowledged me, the short heavy set Asian female marched over from the cashier area to the Amazon return desk. As she was walking over, she was frowning and huffing/puffing and stuck her index finger out pointing at the “Amazon return” desk, then abruptly says, “Over there.” I thought to myself, “I’m not an animal, don’t talk to me like that,” but I also need my returns processed and refund issued. I walk up to the counter and was waiting for her to give instructions. She condescendingly says, “you can put your stuff down.” I follow her instructions and pull up the barcode for the first item. The employee rudely takes my item, puts the label on, and throws the item into the box. She then proceeds to stand at the computer with the scanner gun and stare at the screen. We are both standing there for what seems like an eternity - maybe 10 seconds. She does not make eye contact but is looking annoyed at her screen. Finally, she says, “ok, do you want to return the other items?” At this point, I dropped my politeness and said, “well of course, why do you think I’m here?” She says, “I don’t know, I was waiting for you.” I replied, “well why didn’t you say that?” She then started to aggressively scan my Amazon return codes and putting the labels on my other two items. She was also aggressively tossing the items into the return box. Finally, she gives me my receipt after hurrying away from the desk and says, “that coupon is not good for ink,” and walks away. I just left the store and no employee said anything to me. Long story short, I hope you’re aware that you have a lot of competition: Walmart, Amazon, Office Depot, and other retailers. This particular Staples location is not very busy. With employees like that, I wouldn’t be surprised if this Staples has a, “going out of business sale,” soon. Thanks for listening to my feedback and I hope you take it seriously because at this point, I’m not sure I’ll ever use that coupon because I would likely take my business elsewhere if employees like this exist."
"Customer service here is super slow. I come to do Amazon returns because for some reason Amazon seems to prefer Staples over UPS now. It always takes forever for an associate to acknowledge that I am waiting in the Amazon return area. Wish they would install a self check in for the returns there like UPS is starting to do, or have a dedicated person always ready to go for returns"
"I'd like to give Nancy Martinez a round of applause! She goes over and beyond when it comes to customer service. My mother comes in for all her virtual assistant print job and content work. She's attentive, patient, kind, creative and overall a quick problem solver. If she doesn't know something she always finds out the correct and accurate information. I appreciate her for providing the BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE. Thank you Nancy!!"
"I don’t usually review stores, but I feel like this store has an unfairly low score. I went in today to apply for TSA pre-check and ai also bought a couple of things. I was a little early for my appointment and the person who does the TSA apps was still out to lunch, but two different people helped me and. Said she would be back soon from lunch. She was there on time for the appointment, but unfortunately the computer was not logging in, so she had to reboot and it took a few minutes. Once it was up and running, it was a smooth process. All three people that helped me were kind and professional. No complaints!"
"My fifth time going to the store for posters and large banners for community events, the staff at the printing station are super helpful. Some even when behind their service to make sure everything is in the right fonts, margin, and sizes before sending it out to print. A Big thank and kuddo to the the staff."
