"I cannot express my love for CHINATOWN COMMUNITY CHILDREN'S CENTER (CCCC) in North Beach. They are amazing people from top to bottom and run a fantastic organization. They hire the kindest and most caring staff. I have visited hundreds of times, dropped in, and peeped in the window, and they are so engaged and present with the kids. The staff speak both English and Mandarin and have little to no turnover. Both my native English-speaking daughters went there and can both talk and sing in Chinese. They have plenty of outdoor activities and learn so much about other cultures, the community, and each other. I highly recommend this school for ages 2-5 years old. We have all benefited socially and culturally from our girls attending CCCC."
"This preschool is amazing. I was looking at a few places and trying to figure out how to swing tuition for some of the well known schools in the area and so glad I didn’t. I’m really glad I found this for my daughter. She loves it here and the teachers are wonderful. The student to teacher ratio is so ideal being in the city that I wish all schools were like this. They also have an in-house cook that prepares all their meals. Mind you these meals are not just PB&J’s and some carrots. They provide a good mix of nutritious lunches that open up a child’s palette instead of the “normal” easy kid foods. My daughter tells me every night “I hope I can go to school tomorrow” and it literally warms my heart to know that she enjoys school that much. I was nervous when she first started. Will she make friends, are the teachers good, will they be able to help her adjust, will she hate it and not want to go back. But all those questions and worries disappeared after her first day. The building itself looks like a normal apartment building and I was nervous at first but the minute she walked in and I heard all the kids saying hi I wasn’t worried about exterior looks at all. Come pick up time, she tells me she didn’t want to leave and at drop off....well she’s run off inside and I have to always tell her to come back and say goodbye to me. The COVID precautions are also most ideal. I 100% am fully appreciative of how well they take precaution here given that children don’t get the vaccine yet and are still at risk of contracting the virus. One pair of outdoor shoes and one indoor. This was key. Living in the city you should always want to have separate outdoor and indoor shoes. You don’t know what you’re stepping in and to ensure a clean space for the kids is great. Wash hands prior to entry and sharing is limited, this was a bit sad but of course it’s temporary and my daughter has adjusted to it. They also have a very diverse class which is ALWAYS a plus."
