"Our most favorite campground in Northern California. Large spacious campsites, brand new bathrooms with showers, beautiful park in majestic redwoods with a steam running through it. Note this is a county park so expect campgrounds like state parks; spacious private sites, picnic table, tent sites, winding, sometimes up-and-down, single lane roads thru redwoods. The camp road makes a steep drop down to the stream and back up the other side. Not a problem for us but if that is a concern there are camp sites are on both sides of the stream. NO HOOK UPS. This is for self contained RVs or trailers and tents, although there are water faucets for getting a bucket of water. Dump station is up on the far side of the steep drop down to the stream. Also note if you've been in the past they no longer have the swimming hole. The dam had been taken out for fish spawning. Currently trail repair is still going on for storm damage from 2022-23 winter. Reservations are available thru San Mateo Co Park system. Very full in summer."

"A little gem tucked away from the crowded Bay Area. A bit of a drive. Redwoods are always majestic. Pescadero creek is nicely tucked in and looks beautiful here too. A lot of trails and a lot of them are social trails. Many benches to take a seat and enjoy nature. There is the tallest tree, not super impressive but noticeable. Day use and overnight camping areas have all the facilities you would expect. Looks a little underfunded, it's a county park after all. Please support your local parks!"

"This is a nice little place to spend time amongst the redwoods. There are well maintained hiking trails, plenty of day use picnic areas, camping sites, public Wi-Fi, and a seasonal concession. For camping, some sites are better than others, but all the tent sites enjoy a decent amount of space. Not all have the nicer stone campfire pits, so if that's your jam keep that in mind. Lots of families like to camp here so there are children everywhere and it isn't always peaceful and quiet. The campfire video attached gives you an idea. Not a bad thing, just something to be aware of."

"The campground is huge with lots of campsites and easy access to bathrooms with coin operated showers. There were plenty of bathrooms nearby (more than what is shown in Google Maps) and it seemed most if not all had a shower. The water temperature was adjustable and the pressure and flow rate was enough for a decent shower. The facilities look new and were well maintained. A great place to visit for a weekend escape into the wilderness."
