"Piece Point Ranch is one of the oldest ranches in the area. The ranch started its operations in the 1800s. The butter produced by the ranch was considered of very good quality. The ranch ceased operating in early 1970s. The NPS has done a very good job of maintaining the ranch. A nice piece of history to visit when you are visiting the area."
"Very popular hiking trail. Most people however neglected to visit the ranch itself. As the area suffers from severe drought, it will probably be better to visit during winter"
"Great day out for all. Thought the trail would be in a lot worse shape from other reviews, but it was well maintained. Peninsula doubles as a elk preserve which was pretty unique and we got to see many right off the trail. Elk seemed pretty use to it and are early viewable"
"Trailhead to Tomales Point is located here. Parking gets full by 10am. Bathroom are porta-potties which are not very nice. No running water or trash bins. Pack it in, pack it out."
"Probably one of the best North bay hikes you can take. Tough drive but it's worth it! After you visit the ranch, take the trail along the coast to Tomales point."
