"This was a cute, quiet little stop along the highway. There is a hostel here. I don't know anything about it, I just saw signs on the building. I also saw baby harbor seals on the rocks, and their moms were hunting fish for them. Also, I was shocked that the lighthouse light was still active. That makes me really happy."
"Very beautiful and stunning lighthouse, Scenic view of the ocean. great sunset point too. Helpful tip, even if the light house closes you can still go, you will not see the lighthouse lens which is kept for display, you can still enjoy the view of the lighthouse. Also can spot seals, pelicans by the shore. Just one thing though there could be a proper restroom in the location"
"Beautiful stop. The scenic lighthouse was popular when we visited on a busy fall Saturday. Nice to see all the families and couples taking photos, playing on the beach, and enjoying the special spot. We also got to see the original lighting that was removed from the lighthouse during renovation. The friendly ranger answered questions and provided great info. Fun stop!"
"A good place to visit to see a bit of history and some stunning views of the Pacific. The scenic route on the cliffs is a great drive. From March to May you can see whales."
"An absolutely beautiful lighthouse that is worth a visit when in the area. Surprisingly, there is also a hostel on the grounds of this historic lighthouse! There is a parking lot for visitors and little trails leading around the cliff-side property. While the buildings are being restored, there are signs detailing the history, the restoration project, and a piece of a shipwreck that was recovered nearby. During our visit, we were lucky the tide had started coming in and were able to follow a narrow trail down to this tidal beach. The cliffs looked more impressive from the beach and had layers of different sediment, rocks, and earth, providing a small look at how this area was formed. I highly recommend stopping by to check out this landmark."
