Reviews
"This is an amazing Nature Center. The Rangers and volunteers really take pride in their service. We took 127 5th grade students over two days and they were able to accommodate everyone. Great place to visit with family as well. Love the Idyllwild community."
"The museum is small with interesting stuff and great artifacts from the local mountain. community. The staff is knowledgeable and very friendly."
"Great experience, and we got there at @230. We had plenty of time to enter the park, walk around, and explore and make it back down the mountain by 4 pm before dark. 243 is a winding road, so make sure you know the conditions of traveling up the mountain before approaching. We initially set out to go to RivCo Park 5 minutes away from the nature center, but upon arriving at that park, we realized there wasn't much snow. Nevertheless, it was a great trip. If your child is a 4th grader, they can enjoy 54 state parks free by using the Every Kid Outdoors program. It's worth it."
"Great place to visit in nature. You can hike about a mile up a mountain that is accessible for even little kids, that ends in a beautiful waterfall. Plenty of places to picnic or set up an area to eat or even camp. Then you could even rent a cabin. Definetly with the visit I recommend for anyone."
"It would be 5 stars if they charged less, but as someone on the bottom end of middle class I took my family there to enjoy the snow, but this park charges extra for "snow play". $10 per adult, $5 per child. So $35 for me, wife, and the kids to run around on the snowy hillside for 2 hours. It seems, for whatever reason, and the park tolerates people parking on the side of the road near the entrance, and walking into the park, something I did not know until after talking with people who did that. Beautiful landscape, same as that whole area."
