"Went at 8 am and the best things were already gone, but still lots left. Sea urchin ($8 each!!) The sea urchin here is unbelievably fresh! It was still moving when I ate it. So tasty raw, and the person who sold it to us helped us open it! With 2 spoons! Oysters ($25 per dozen) The oysters are from Morro bay and are quite delicious :) Very fresh and very inexpensive! Steamer clams The steamer clams I bought were not that fresh (slightly open and wouldn’t close), but I think next time I need to just watch out a bit more when I buy them."
"Well worth a stop! Great to think that your money is going directly to the fisherman. Also literally couldn't get any fresher fish for the price anywhere else. The guys are all very friendly. Stop by as soon as you can. Opens at 6am and the going is best then."
"Excellent open air market -- It's kind of a farmers market for fisherman in a parking lot near the dock. The selection varies based on the fisherman's catch and the time you arrive at the market. If you are looking for crab arrive early. The market opens at 6:00 am on Saturday. Shrimp are plentiful and inexpensive."
"Fresh fish - you gave to go early by 7:00 am as it gets sold quickly. We we're lucky to find the last Halibut and some king fish. Halibut fillets were done but they do not clean the smaller fish. It was a good experience. This market is only on Saturday morning."
"Been here before covid. Decent selection, fresh, and fair prices. Some of the fish was still twitching! You gotta be there early to get in line before all the good fish is sold out though."
