"There is a lot of history in this museum... If you enjoy learning and have the time to read all the articles , it would be very interesting for you... In addition, growing up in the Sacramento area. They showed a lot of highlights of various areas over the past decades..."
"A fun afternoon at the California Museum. It was more educational and interactive than most museums I have visited. I think it would be a great place to bring kids to learn about California history. I personally would have like more artworks depicting the different sections or should I say more artwork in the style of the different sections of the museum. I had a good time and found it to be a great rainy day activity."
"I really enjoyed this museum! It's not your typical state history museum. I spent more time here than I expected learning so much about things that happened in California and the people who live(d) here. There were tons of interactive exhibits. It's only two floors but they are jam packed with information. I would go back, one visit wasn't enough time to take it all in."
"My husband and I went here for the Dolores Huerta Day reception and celebration. It was fabulous! There was a great DJ playing wonderful music. They also had a trio of ladies beautifully singing Mexican music. There were also winemakers serving up delicious wines to enjoy with a vast variety of Hors devours served. The event was at 5 p.m. so parking was a bit tricky as we are from Stockton and unfamiliar with the area. But after circling around for about 10 minutes, we located a Public Parking lot. Apparently, because we were there about 1/4 to 5, the payment machine declined our payment with a message about it not being necessary. A short 2 block walk to the venue got us there to arrive in time. There were also plenty of bathroom stalls to accommodate the large group. All in all, it was a very nice venue and we enjoyed celebrating Dolores Huerta!"
"Had a great afternoon here on a Sunday in August. We (group of 4 adults) got to take advantage of the $2 discount when ordering online (I believe it was for the month of Aug when they were turning over many exhibit areas). Still worth the visit even though we did miss out on a few sections. Really enjoyed all the video and audio and photo displays of influential women. The missions history and huge CA quilt and ceiling mural is beautiful. I’ll definitely keep checking the website to see when new exhibits are open."
