"Good place to fish, bbq, and hang out with family. Went right after it dried up after the rains winter 2024 and the river was really high with lots of debris everywhere. Not sure if that's normal but it was still nice out."
"I've only been here once. It seems like a decent place on the river. The area where i was appeared to be nice and sandy possibly good for swimming as it wasn't a sharp drop off like most places on the river. I only stayed half an hour or so. There is a homeless camp here that appeared to be city or county operated, which it is nice to see them stepping up to help the people who want it. Everyone i talked with was polite and seemed to mind their own business. I look forward to going back to explore the fishing spots for sure."
"LARGE park, with lots of space for jogging and bicycling, yet not as much playground equipment as you'd think, in my opinion. Lots of the park borders the water on one side. Marina access and boat launch are here also. Fishing is allowed from many areas in the park. Public restrooms are available during the day. Very clean park with very little trash to speak of. They do a nice job caring for the homeless in the area by a group that gives them a controlled environment to be safe day and night as well as some shelter. This was awesome to see and does not affect park visitors at all. I thought it was a great idea and was glad to see assistance for the homeless. I was surprised by the volume of "cruising" happening here, especially on weekends. From what I saw, those that participate don't seem to affect anyone adversely that I could see so I say "good on you!" if that's what you like! There is something for everyone here at Miller Park!"
"Wonderful place to visit for all ages and kinds who enjoy being with nature with green grass, trees, picnic tables, clean bathrooms (until vandalized), geese and ducks walking around, squirrels climbing trees, fishing allowed (bring permit) the view of a river is beautiful any time, especially sunset and sunrise, with the birds singing, it's quiet and peaceful...perfect spot to just get away without the headaches."
"Beautiful Park along the Riverside in downtown Sacramento just off of Broadway. There's a beach along the riverbank which you can access, with barbecue pits and picnic tables. Easy access to a bike trail and boat launch with a small Marina. A hidden gem for free summertime fun."
