"I hiked at the park while it was raining on and off and I have to say that it was amazing. The wooded trails looked like an enchanted forest with the foggy curtains passing through and giant mossy trunked trees. I loved it, it was quiet and peaceful."
"Nice hiking spot. You can start from the bottom of the hill and hike up, or start at the top and hike around the skyline trail. Great view. If you go on the weekends, I recommend get there a bit early as parking space is limited."
"Two days, with different experiences one op at the peak one below. Both incredible and the crisp air adds to a healing experience. Some hikes with panoramic views that feel like your on top of the world!! The dog loved it as much as I did I saw such lushes greens and treelined paths full of ferns."
"I didn't know about the Windy Hill viewing spot. I just happened to found it when I driving by the Skyline Blvd on HW35. The view is breathtaking! I highly recommend it. Just note that the Spring Ridge parking area is limited so keep that in mind. Also, be cautious of entering or exiting the parking as it is near a blid curve. Enjoy!"
"Love easy access to any side of this Open Space Preserve. I've covered all trails and they are in top shape after all repairs, thanks to MidPen trail crew. The most straightforward and most popular trail to the summit is a boring fire road, pick any other trail with plenty of shade. Watch for wasps. A lot of wildlife if you start early enough. On a foggy day, the top portion can be very wet and slippery, be prepared. It gets crowded around the summit after 11am. Parking is not that big and fills up fast on weekends. The top trails near CA-35 are part of the Bay Area Ridge Trail section with no connections to other sections (as of 2023). Carry water, there are no drinkable water once you leave the parking lot. I think, dogs are allowed on trails."
