David Devoid

David Devoid is a renowned pediatric gastroenterologist located at 2100 Clinch Avenue in Knoxville, Tennessee. With 28 years of experience in the field, Dr. Devoid is dedicated to providing exceptional patient-centered care to children with gastrointestinal illnesses and diseases. His areas of expertise include inflammatory bowel disease, liver disease, pancreas disease, and nutritional support for patients with special needs.

Dr. Devoid received his education from top institutions such as the University of Maryland College Park and Baylor College of Medicine. He served in the United States Air Force for 10 years, achieving the rank of Major and coordinating the only liver transplant program in the military. After leaving the Air Force, he worked at Children’s Hospital at Erlanger in Chattanooga before joining GI for Kids in Knoxville in 2014.

In his free time, Dr. Devoid enjoys spending time with his family, including his two children Shannon and Christopher. They enjoy outdoor activities such as horseback riding and white-water rafting. Dr. Devoid also has a passion for billiards, bowling, and playing cards.
