"Reasons to love SOR Knoxville: 1) Fun to learn: students get to learn to play music they love from day 1. 2) Good vibes: the staff is genuinely invested in teaching the students and being there for them, and the students seem to really WANT to be there and like the teachers and staff. 3) Rock Band programs: the students are creating something together, they are learning together, and they are forging friendships. All of this is the best example of positive peer pressure because students want to show up for their peers. And I love that at the end of the 4 months in their band, they actually perform on a real stage and they DO IT! 4) Character-building: Self confidence can't be given to a child: it must be earned. SOR is as much a business of character-building as it is performance instruction: I feel very fortunate that my children have this experience to help them overcome fears and gain self confidence all while learning to play instruments they can play throughout their lives."
