"CMCSS Transportation is short staff & are dealing with sometimes "bad" kids lol. If drivers all practice kindness and make an effort to be polite it will be returned. Like the current female driving 13-18. She is awesome. She had an accident recently. OK..she is still awesome! Thank you for all you do but we definitely have to make some improvements. I have no recommendations at this time b/c I don't feel we're ready to hear or act on it. Being short staff is stressful but drivers are so important to starting the kid's days. Please remember the safety, the peace, the kindness you could be giving to a child for the first or last time that day. Who knows what they live with."
"There is a bus that comes down black oak circle SPEEDING. We have enough issues with cars a bus with children on it should not be speeding. This is a morning bus. This morning it flew past my house like going to a fire. Please tell your driver's to obey the 20 mile speed limit like we tell the people in cars. Thank you."
"Most parents understand there is a bus driver shortage but what is not understandable is when we get a phone message telling us their bus will be late (with no estimate time) and they ask that we “please have students remain at their stop”…in 28 degree weather! This is NOT acceptable!! Students have been waiting over 1 hour and the temperature is still the same and no bus. Maybe they should have one of their staff member stand outside for that amount of time to see if it’s acceptable to wait over 1 hour in that kind of temperature!!!"
"First, let me start by saying I appreciate our bus drivers, and I get they have no control of their time issues. The major problem I have is that my middle schooler is told to wait at the bus stop at 646 but the bus is so packed he and other students are told to wait for the second round the bus has to make. So the kids are waiting out there until 715 at time 720 other times 730. This is the norm for my kids bus stop now. My review is to suggest that the kids times should change, so they don't have to be waiting for over an hour on a bus. Make bus routes 15 minutes earlier, and if there's a route that requires 2 rounds; please keep in mind they have to be out there a while and by the time they get to school breakfast is over. Taking my kid to school is a no-go because I have an elementary school child that I have to get ready in the morning and the car line for school is incredibly long and unorganized. I hope you take my suggestions. I don't think people will mind being at a bus stop 15 minutes earlier if it means the bus will be there on time. And transportation dep, please don't be upset at worried parents, we just want our kids safe. Waiting at a bus stop for an extended period, is a safety concern. Thanks for your time."
