"Long review warning because it’s necessary: Clendenin is my favorite doctor I’ve ever had. He’s professional yet personable and took the “scary factor” out of it for me as I’ve never had to deal with anything medically or ever been in a hospital besides pregnancy and birth. even when everything went unlike we planned, I felt I could trust him with my life to make decisions- which is saying a lot for me I trust nobody. very educated and informative. he won’t rush you and answers all questions you may have thoroughly. He even remembered what name I picked out for my daughter after the first visit and never forgot it which shocked me as a doctor in a big Nashville hospital. i transferred from a small town OB who couldn’t even remember anything about my chart or even MY name. I immediately felt safe and welcomed. Additionally, I recommended him to several friends and a lot of reactions I got were “I’d never have a male OB” I originally didn’t plan to but needed to get in asap and he was available so I went with it. I expected to feel uncomfortable or awkward but that was never the case. If anything, I think women OB’s can be worse sometimes because some use their own experiences/bias/opinions to compare and judge where as men OBs can only base it off of education/science/biology/facts. I felt that even my “silly” concerns or questions were taken seriously and met with solutions and answers every time."
