Reviews
"Knowledgeable informative staff. A must for any fan of the Laura Ingalls Wilder works. You can tour the house, there is a small museum & gift shop & a nice paved trail around the farm"
"If you are a fan of the “Little House” books and the writing and story of Laura Ingalls Wilder, this is a must see. Two houses to tour with expert docents, a museum full of memories and artifacts, and a good gift shop. Tours of the homes run on a schedule, so be mindful of that when planning your visit. There is a trail connect the homes but will take you at minimum 20 minutes to travel. It is a bit steep in places but lovely. Don’t forget to ask about the final resting place in the Mansfield cemetery."
"Amazing to been able to finally visit here. It's been on the Bucket List for a few years. The area is beautiful and the homes were very interesting to tour. It's an amazing feeling to walk where history took place."
"Laura Ingalls Wilder's two homes and a museum. Both homes are nice glimpses into the past. Nice at your pace walk throughs. All the guides were very well informed and eager to share and answer questions. Lots of great background on the writer and her family. Highly recommended!"
"We drove up from Branson to see this house. Lots of history here and fun to walk through two houses and the museum. There was an 8 minute video and everyone was friendly and helpful. Since our group was so large we got brochures with self guided tour points. You could drive to both locations so not a ton of walking as the path between houses was closed due to animals having babies on the trail. Very fun experience especially if you are a fan. Learned a lot about Laura’s daughter and family."
