"Dr. Peeden is amazing. I took my child to Children's after he began having extreme bouts of diarrhea. They did a culture and sent it off to the labs for a test that would take 3 days. The general thought was a Salmonella poisoning, but Dr. Peeden wanted to be sure. He ordered food for my son so he would have something to pass through his system. We finally got a stool sample and were sent home after being in the ER for 8 hours. Dr. Peeden said to go home and rest, he would call if there were any issues from the sample. We got a call shortly after arriving at home, it was E. Coli and we needed to get back to be admitted. Since it was caught early, it could be treated with IV fluids to avoid kidney damage. He said to come back through the ER and he would wait for us. We arrive to a total zoo in the ER. We were not there 5 minutes before Dr. Peeden came to look for us. He got my son rushed through and admitted quickly. He did not leave until he saw transport had us ready to move, and my son had an IV in his arm. I cannot say enough about the care Dr. Peeden gave my child. He stayed hours after his shift to make sure my son was taken care of. He didn't leave it up to the next doctor, he managed it himself until he saw we were 100% cared for like he wanted. We spent 3 days in the hospital with IVs and no other meds required. My son is alive with fully functioning kidneys because of Dr. Peeden. Words cannot express my family's gratitude."
