"I was searching for apartments and I reached out to Jennifer regarding looking at 1 bedroom apts. At no point did I sign anything nor did I put down any sort of deposit. All they had was my name, number and email. Apparently I was charged $300 for an application fee and was sent to collections. At no point did I have an apartment nor did I sign any leasing paperwork. They stated that I put in an application for a two-bedroom two-bathroom luxury apartment, which I never did. Now I have collections trying to contact me and any requests for proof of my debt are declined (because they don't exist). Ivana overlook is not only a fee heavy apartment complex but they also are charging people fees without their consent. Run far, far away."
"The quality of this place has really tanked since Greystar took over, a man in the building next to ours broke into my roommates car, my roommate caught them redhanded & called the police at which point we were informed the security guy that the cameras on the property are useless & the office doesn't have access to the footage that would have been very useful to the police, the night security pulled up to assist my roommate & they went to the perps apartment - this thief still lives in the complex & he doesn't pick up his dog's poop either, just nasty & really shows how they value profit over the quality of the community. For all the emails the office sends out about keeping the community clean they sure don't do anything about nasty stained concrete, cobwebs in breezeways or litter in the shrubs around the property oh but they did install 4 giant speed bumps on a hill that'll tear up your alignment even though it's not even an area where kids played anyway. Oh and make sure you see your unit before moving in, we selected a remodeled unit- there is no way this apt was remodled, our windows are drafty, our AC was broken when we moved in, you could tell the former tenants had a dog as the door frames had been gnawed on & good luck getting anyone on the phone now that management has changed, your best bet is if one of the maintenance guys give you their personal # so you can inform them before sending in a maintenance request & they'll get to it promptly. We actually used to have great customer service from the front office but these new ladies are more concerned with sending useless auto emails, sitting in the office not answering the phone & riding around on golf carts. Edited to add: their "fitness center" is also garbage, the weight machine is broken & last time I was up there I informed the lady at the desk that they were out of paper towels to wipe down the machines & they still hadn't refilled it 48 hrs later, also they don't let you use it 24 hrs a day, it's locked up by 10."
"Have lived here for two years now and this is my last. Office uses the out-of-state call center as an excuse not to answer the phone all the time, and not once in the two years I've lived here have they ever called me back after I've left a message with someone from said call center. Today I discovered that my mail has been stolen because the mailboxes they currently have are easily 20 years old and the locks are not secure. Apparently that isn't a serious enough message for them to call me back. Just find somewhere else to live. It's not cheap enough to justify it."
"I do not recommend living on this property. I've always paid my rent ON time, and when I moved out of the complex, I was stuck with a 4,000 dollar bill. No one from management will agree to meet with me, individuals from corporate will not read into my case. I've reported the company and apartment complex to the BBB, and even they can’t do anything about the bill being that so many others have complained about the Greystar Company. This has been a battle for nearly 2 years. Gerald the complex owner is extremely RUDE, and attempts to get over on everyone. Whatever you do, please do not rent from the complex."
"Warming⚠️ do not allow them to let you move in without seeing your actual unit. That’s how they got us. DONT LET THE CURB APPEAL FOOL YOU. I’m really not happy at these apartments. Due to my lease, I have to suffer it. It feels like I’m living in fancy project housing. My dryer hasn’t been fixed since I moved in, even with my numerous reports. The tenants here don’t care about the property and it’s always theft. I don’t feel safe. Majority of the time there is no good place to park near my home. My other work orders from when I moved in had never been worked, even after I told the office. This is not a place to raise kids.. The rent is low but after you move in, the extra fees makes your rent almost 300 more. They don’t tell you the huge cost at lease signing. Also, the unit that you see when you move in, is not really what you get. I feel sorry for new folks who think their place will be looking as great as the sample unit that they show. My unit was bug infested. Drugs later found stuffed in a drain, entire stove was half cleaned. Refrigerator was bug infested. Also the 2 pool has not been working in years."
