"Had a minor dental emergency while on vacation and reached out to San Francisco Dental Spa. I’m so glad that I did! They did a quick consult over the phone and were beyond polite, friendly, and courteous. Swung by bc they were able to fit me in at short notice. The office was very clean and after a brief visit, I was on my way and back enjoying my vacation like the interruption never happened. Would absolutely go back to them if I lived in the area and definitely recommend them to any locals for their great service."

"It had been about 4 years since I went to a dentist, and I made an appointment here since I live close by and they took my insurance. The dentist, hygienist, and front desk person the day I was there were all very nice and thorough. HOWEVER, there are a few things I want to share that contribute to my low rating: 1) For each office visit, there is a $23 "Airborne Desease Protection" (their misspelling, not mine). I was not informed of this before my first visit, and I learned afterwards that this is very uncommon at dental offices. 2) I emailed to ask them to send my x-rays to the dentist that I was going to for a second opinion, and got no response. I stopped in and asked, and they had me e-sign a release form, which I promptly sent back. Still, they neglected to send the x-rays to the new dentist, so I had to have the set of x-rays re-done at the new dentist. 3) The treatment plan had a lot of stuff that were not going to be covered by my insurance. Example: for the deep clean, there was going to be an "Herbal Medicament" for $46 (I guess to help numb my mouth?) and "Perio Irrigation" at $67 per quadrant. 4) I was informed that I had "gum disease" and would need a deep cleaning, medication, and routine cleanings every 3 months. After two weeks of brushing twice a day and flossing every day, the dentist that I went to for a second opinion specifically said that I don't need a deep clean when I asked about it. All this is to say that if you do go here, don't be afraid to get a second opinion and/or a price check elsewhere. The new dentist that I've been going to said they had never seen something like the $23 ADP fee for each office visit."

"Really shady practice of not communicating estimated costs of procedures and stating that the insurance company should cover a majority of the cost, even when the documentation for the insurance clearly documents the conditions in which it is covered (and then charges you later). Communication is ridiculously poor. I’ve contacted them multiple times over email with literally 0 response over multiple threads, and they ask for the same information over and over again. I’ve asked them to also send estimated costs for treatment multiple times, and they’ve never responded. Safe to say I will be using a different dentist moving forward that is more communicative and where the administration does their job better."

"Amazing experience. Would absolutely recommend. I hadn't visited a dentist in 9 years, and it was about time. Being that I have very good insurance through my employer I was assuming treatment would involve a degree of cost. Not the case. I was cleaned, thoroughly examined, and had all my questions answered. The point is, they are honest, and they address your needs as necessary, and have a pleasant serene ambiance that just puts you at eaze. I look forward to my future visits."

"I’ve always received the best dental care when coming to San Francisco Dental Spa. I’ve always felt they were always on top of things. The exams are always very thorough, as are the cleanings. Thankfully I’ve never had any cavities, but my handful of visits over the years with Dr. Kogan and his team has always been great. I always feel that I’m in the hand of true professionals. Highly recommend this practice."
