"Kudos to the property owners, they hired an excellent photographer! This complex isn't worth the money they charge. Residents are constantly surrounded by debris and/or overfilled dumpsters. The so-called "upgrade grades" that are advertised are a joke. This conplex should be called "Patchwork Palace at Shelby Farms." No fitness center as advertised. I moved here in July 2023, was told the fitness center was being remodeled and will open in September-still hasnt opened and the pool was shut down by late August. Four days ago, I reported having black mold on the ceiling of the balcony. The work order was closed with no resolve. I contacted the office and they re-opened the ticket. Still, no one has come... you'd think BLACK MOLD would be a priority. The Ants are a major issues, the pond smells like death, there is another pool area and clubhouse on the property that is dilapidated, and you are guaranteed to see bags of garbage in the parking lot ALL weekend- EVERY weekend. Some of the parking spots are being occupied by several 32' steel containers, so for convenience, the residents create parking spaces in ALL the wrong places. Needless to say, I will NOT be renewing my lease. Please do not waste your money here. Update: Maintenance came out and "sprayed" the mold stains..."
"Had one of my cars broken into twice and my neighbors cars broken into as well and the property still refuses to do anything about it. They claim they have courtesy officers but I have never seen anyone drive around the apartment not once. The rent isn't worth it. Just move somewhere else"
"The Willows at Shelby Farms is literally the worst apartment complex I have ever lived in. The leasing office management team and Crystal Garcia (Assistant Property Manager) are the most racist and discriminatory people I have ever met in my entire life. They discriminate against people based off race and disability. Secondhand smoke caused severe asthma attacks and migraines. I was told by Crystal Garcia to "buy a house since I was so sensitive". I would never recommend this apartment complex to anyone. Stay as far away as possible."
"Please believe the reviews on the ant problem. I have been living over here a year and the ants are everywhere. The only reason I do not have ants in my unit is because i spray frequently (ridiculous that I have to spend extra money on bug spray). However, ants are outside of my apt unit, on the stairs, the walk ways and the parking spaces. I literally can not stand outside without stomping my feet to avoid ants from crawling on my body. I have reached out to the office numerous times and each time it's "we will add your building or unit to be sprayed". This problem has been going on clearly before I moved over here (read and believe the other reviews). For rent to be over $1,000, the community doesn't equate to what we pay monthly. Also, be mindful that this place doesn't come with a fitness center, pool is always closed and when it is open it is really loud. Parties are thrown just about every weekend in the pool area with really loud music that is a disturbance to the community. The gate is always broken and doesn't close immediately when entering. This allows cars to tail behind you into the community. In my opinion, this is a major safety concern. This will most definitely be my last year in these apartments. Please make this your last resort to move to!"
