Shelby Grove Apartments

"These apartments are tucked away. I did not know they existed until earlier this year. I’ve driven through several times at different times of the day and it’s quiet. The upgrades are really nice. In addition, Mrs. Teresa is so kind and was very flexible with my changes. She listened to my request and worked with me. I planned to get a one bedroom at Shelby Grove for my daughter and I, trying to save money. However, I ultimately decided that a 1 bedroom is out of the question and I must have 2. Because of this, I decided to move near Lakeland with more square footage for less than the cost of a 2 bdrm here. However, Shelby Grove is now on my radar. They really are worth looking into."

"I've lived here for two years and just renewed my lease again. This is a great place to live. Theresa and Rhonda are friendly and professional (and always on top of things), the grounds are clean, and the community is safe and peaceful. Maintenance issues in my apartment have been rare, but when they occur they're handled quickly and thoroughly. Terrible neighbors aren't tolerated by management, so the quality of the community remains high. I truly love it here."

"Ya'll, my family and I have lived at this property for almost a decade, and this is my God's honest review. I love living here, and I'm so grateful for this little community and the staff. When I first moved in, my husband had already lived here for a couple of years on his own. I moved in, and a couple years later our daughter was born (she just turned 5). Honestly if it wasn't for Theresa and Rhonda, we would have moved years ago just due to our family growing and needing more space. But the staff here are like family to us and our neighbors have become our friends, so we are in no rush to move until we are ready to buy a house. It is quiet back here bc not many people realize there are apartments here, and I have never been concerned for mine or my daughter's safety. Cameras cover every inch of the parking lot, there is one entrance only, and Theresa protects this property fiercely. This IS an older property and maintenance issues do come up, but Rhonda is always right on top of it. I have never, not once, had to call the office more than one time for a maintenance request. The grounds are well kept and people respect each other here. We don't have noise issues, cops showing up constantly, or suspicious people driving around. Those things are VERY rare here, I can count on one hand the number of times I have seen police here for a disturbance. IN TEN YEARS. For an apartment complex in Memphis, that is unheard of. This place is home to us, and the staff here feels like family. Theresa is warm and fair, and she has gone above and beyond for my family over the years. I can't reccomend this community strongly enough, this is a wonderful place to live and I'm so thankful that this is our home"
