"So voluntarily admit... manic crisis first one in 35 years ok cool... anyway went because after so many years something that was working no longer works ok ... first night given sleep aid slept through breakfast and lunch...ok cool ...given more meds that morning slept even more ok great maybe I needed rest ...food very scarce and I mean like nothing ok fine given another sleep aid wake up drooling in day room...go to room end up waking up at 845 called husband only allowed phone use 2 time day acceptable considering treatment center but end call at 850 only allow 5 mins while they listen again accepted due to treatment but end call ask for breakfast no sorry you slept through breakfast...seriously it's not 9 yet sorry ....ok after only one meal I'm hangry... I asked for ama papers and was told I had to see counselor first...ok first ok Karen I will now let you know my medical background.... and I know do not have to have permission to leave AMA but I will see your counselor just so they know I am not ignorant to the ways ... was told that not allowed to wake... ok not for food or smoke breaks cool but not for therapy? No it's against policy. But minute my eyes open and feet hit floor you damn sure handing over another pill which also knocked me out! 72 hour treatment slept 35 of the 38 hours I was there .. I can sleep at home with my pcp giving me medical care... 1 group session attended and so zonked could not focus.... and then they did what I never expected... if all you want is some cereal all you had to do was ask . Alright listen Linda I got to leave this place now because you make me want to punch people and kick puppies and I never ever ever feel like that.... if you need sleep by all means go ... if you need new coping skills we'll definitely need to look elsewhere.... Jessie is great only she didn't get there to 3pm ...other staff we'll nuff said!"
