Northridge Apartments

"I initially moved into Northridge in 2019. Prior to signing my lease, communication was fair and I had no issues. My mother and I had viewed some units, I selected my unit, and we were then waiting in the office for Shelby to complete paperwork. The resident who currently resided in the unit I would eventually move into walked into the office to get a package. Shelby was extremely rude and unprofessional. Once the resident left, she made the comment of how “nasty” the resident was, stated that she “couldn’t wait for her leave”, and turned up her face/nose. As a future resident, seeing and hearing this interaction didn’t sit well. It was actually a precursor to how unprofessional and rude Shelby would later on be unbeknownst to me. I viewed a unit just like the one I was interested in so, I already knew the layout. I signed the lease and was just waiting for the current resident to move out and for maintenance. Once moved in, I did my inspection and submitted the paperwork to notify the office of my findings. Again, communication had been fine so I sent a text informing the office staff that the apartment was filthy. There was hair everywhere! There was hair in the microwave, refrigerator, counter tops, etc. Most of which was pet hair. I did not receive a response from the office staff regarding the dirty condition the apartment was left in. I was informed that new carpet had been put down; however, I did a water test and scrubbed a spot which revealed dirty “new” carpet. I ended up shampooing the carpet myself."

"I will agree with majority that rent is way too high for the quality. I’ve never had a working dishwasher since I lived here. THAT BEING SAID, I do feel safe living here and the office staff are very kind. My favorite part right now is that it is a peaceful working community and the neighbors all work together to keep it that way. There’s never trash piled up and minimal noise. The maintenance man lives here and so does an office faculty member. So you know it’s good when that happens. My neighbors and I take turns sweeping up the front of our doors or taking each others trash out if it’s there. You can see often see staff cleaning up small things after hours because they care about where they live! Pros: Quiet and safe with personable staff. There’s also a small dog play area that’s shaded! Cons: Parking, utilities like the dishwasher or microwaves etc also the place needs a major exterior overhaul. So! If you’re not picky and value peace and quiet with staff that gets to know you, this your place! My move-in was so easy too! Thank you Northridge staff!"

"Love these apartments. I was new to the Jackson area a year and a half ago when I moved in. The office staff were so welcoming. Any issues I have had have been solved with kindness and urgency. The management really cares about their tenants and I have never felt more safe at an apartment complex. Its in a great part of town near lots of great shopping places and things to do in the town of Jackson. If you looking for a safe place to call home in Jackson, try Northridge, you won't regret it!"

"Northridge has been my home for 2 years! I love the location and how close it is to work for me. I have had a few maintenance issues but they were resolved swiftly. I would like to see more updated appliances without our rent going up again. We plan to be here until we purchase a home and would recommend to anyone!"

"Friendly management and staff. Pool is a little small for this large of a community. The non-renovated units are very outdated, while the renovated units look nice from a distance but it is pretty clear that the quality isn’t quite perfect. Living at Northridge felt safe, taking out the trash was easy, and getting the mail wasn’t bad. Most units come equipped with ample outdoor parking as well."
