Supercuts

"Horrible experience with the hair stylist. The haircut is okay. The problem was the stylist's attitude. As soon as I told her I wanted a buzzcut she was judgmental and rude. She repeatedly asked me why I would do that to my hair. Not only is that none of her business, but women get buzzcuts for all sorts of reasons including taste and illness. She asked me this throughout the haircut while trying to convince me to only buzz the sides. I kept saying no thank you very nicely even though I was uncomfortable. She persisted and only shaved the sides, still trying to dissuade me from getting the full buzzcut and telling me she could do a fade instead. She was being so difficult when all I wanted was a buzzcut. After realizing that I was set on the buzz, she said she hoped I had a good scalp. She then asked me what my mom would think about the haircut. I am 25 years old, but even if I was younger, this is not an appropriate question to ask a client. Still, I replied nicely. She proceeded to tell me that if her child got a buzzcut she would be disappointed, which is one of the most inane things a hairstylist could say to a costumer. She then said I had a lot of metal earrings. She was clearly put off by me, and despite my attempts at having a courteous interaction, she kept making prejudiced comments. I am not sure if there was some sort of language barrier that made this hairstylist's communication completely inappropriate, but please address this because I genuinely felt judged, uncomfortable, and will never be going to Supercuts again. I wish I knew the name of the stylist, but I went to the store at around 12:25pm on Tuesday Jan 2."

"After being turned away from another local salon, because they don’t “detangle” we went to Super Cuts on Genessee. They couldn’t have been nicer and gave my granddaughter a darling cut after first combing out all the tangles. Highly recommend!"
