"I came today with a resident and was greeted at the reception desk. As we went to the intake I am guessing she was also friendly ( the lady with the Dominican painting) .The nurse with the pearl earrings was friendly to my resident and I. Everyone we came in contact with was verbally friendly and the last person was super soft spoken and the sweetest lady. I think her name is Diana but I can’t be for sure. I just think they all need to know they are doing the best job !!!"
"Where do you start? This is a last resort hospital and that’s the nicest thing you can say about them. Doesn’t even matter what department. I’ve never met a nice doctor. The only thing you can say nice is some of the nurses in the cardio are god sent. Everything else is trash. Doctor Carter killed my mother in law due to his own arrogance. Labor and deliver can’t even tell what an elevated body temperature is. God forbid you have an emergency and have to go to the ER. You won’t be seen for a few hours. No matter if you come by ambulance or not. Everyone is rude from the time you walk in the doors until you walk back out. No one listens to you. The staff can’t even administer the bare minimum quality of care. This is the poorest excuse for a hospital I’ve seen in my life. Don’t bother calling when they comment on your review. Once again a waste. If they cared actions would be done. Your call will be lost in time and possibly a data base if you’re lucky. Please go to Vanderbilt for your care. You risk your life the second you walk in any door of the medical center."
"My husband was taken here after he injured his foot and I was a Lil hesitant because of the reviews but luckily we had a great team who took care of him an was very friendly respectful professional and compassionate. Special thanks to Nurse Joanie, Nurse Bridget CNA Keeli and Dr. Willis for all they did in taking care of my husband Donnell and I"
"The labor and delivery staff leave much to be desired. There are a few very sweet workers of course I can't remember all the names, Davis from nursery was just the sweetest. You can tell he's just a good person all around. I want to say Kate was another and Cheyanne. The Labor and Delivery and postpartum units appear to be thrown together, and low funding. Like they are just barely able to stay operating. You are basically confined to your room and you can't leave anyone even family alone with your baby so you can't even go get a coffee from the cafe. The reason for my two stars was the attitude from some of the staff I encountered, especially during my labor. The nurses will say things to upset you and you are more likely to face mistreatment during childbirth. They want you to labor on your back and not move through the pain at all which is impossible. Either the staff was totally incompetent or they were purposely messing up. They took ten pokes to get an IV started even bringing in their anaesthesiologist who was totally unprofessional, wanna say her name was Kelly. My epidural failed and numbed just my legs. They diagnosed my baby with hip clicks and when we went to our pediatrician she was like idk why they said that she definitely doesn't have clicks. The pedia on call at med center made me feel like as a third time mother I was doing everything wrong and not taking care of my baby properly. The lack of supportive feedback was a bit shocking. They came off arrogant and like I was trash and I got the feeling they thought I don't deserve my baby. Went to our pediatrician however and she's gained back more than her birthweight and the doctor said I'm doing a really good job at taking care of my daughter. I guess the point of my post is I get this is just a job to L&D, but you're also a part of the most important day in a person's life. You chose this job and it's one of the most important jobs in the world, helping women bring forth new life. If you can't be mature, supportive, kind, tactful, then this job just is not for you. Stop making labor and delivery such a miserable experience just because you have a 12 hr shift ahead of you."
"I HATE THAT, TO LEAVE A REVIEW I HAVE TO GIVE A STAR! LOOK AT YOUR SCORE FOR GOODNESS SAKE! THIS IS WHY PEOPLE IN BOWLING GREEN GO ALL THE WAY TO U OF L!!! EVERYONE IS SAYING THE SAME THINGS AND THEY’VE BEEN SAYING IT FOREVER! I GUESS WHEN YOU’RE THE ONLY GAME IN TOWN YOU DON’T CARE! Scroll for updates: The staff is marginally polite. Some of these patients are stressed out due to whatever complex medical procedure they’re facing. It’s obvious to some of these folks it’s just work. And if you’re going to provide food that requires utensils, in your vending areas, provide utensils. Don’t let customers spend their money to find out they can’t eat their food. Looking at the reviews I can’t help but wonder, at what point does Hospital management address these concerns? The bad comments far outweigh the good. Update; Someone in registration came out and asked for “Henry” a customer asked, “Princess?” The employee then repeated, “Henry.” To which the customer responded, “Princess Henry.?” The employee then said, “We only have one Henry ma’am.” The customer replied, “Well I don’t know that.” And she’s right. How hard would it have been for the employee to just look at the chart in her hand and say, “Yes ma’am.” The rudeness is uncalled for. 10/31/2023 Update: If you know someone is coming for a procedure, you know when, and you know they are staying the night, plan for a room! You can’t leave people in recovery all damn day!!! Procedure at 0700, starts cutting at 8:00, out by 11:00 and it’s now 6:30 PM because first you couldn’t find a room then after you found a room it takes over an hour just to get someone to take her to her room? Give me a damn room number, I’ll take her!!! Oh by the way, all the therapy she should be getting right now to prevent blood clots and for breathing, she isn’t getting down here! This is on you if something happens!! Folks if you can get somewhere else, go there."
