Reviews of The Inn at Opryland, A Gaylord Hotel
"The young lady at the front desk was super helpful and friendly. She put a real smile on my face. 2/18 3:15ish p.m. The room is clean on first impression. I'm impressed with what the hotel has done with what would have been an old deluxe dated property. They really have worked hard to bring it up to Marriott standards. The management chatting with me on and off throughout the day over the app with super helpful. Incredibly helpful. I couldn't get into the Gaylord Opryland Resort, unfortunately, because we ended up deciding to come here almost last minute, which meant the resort was booked out for a convention. But Inn management did check for me, which sort of surprised me. It helps that they're owned by the same company. The toilet kept running on first flash. I had to pull the handle up in order to get it to stop. It was odd that I had to walk around the hotel to check in. Check in is not where you would expect the lobby to be. Maybe the lobby is undergoing renovations. There are signs pointing you to a location on the other side of the hotel. They look like temporary signs. My stay isn't over yet. I'll update this as I go."
"We stayed 5 nights for a conference that was located across the street. The rooms are clean but outdated. They are also pretty small and don’t leave room if you need to work. It’s pretty noisy because of traffic. The staff was friendly and professional. Someone next to us was smoking pot and staff took care of the issue. Beds are comfy."
"I did not stay the night but my family and I did visit the location on Christmas day. The hotel is huge and beautiful with plenty of places to eat and sights to see. You will have to open your wallets pretty deep however l, because it is expensive. The Polar Express ice experience was not worth it however in my opinion. While the craftsmanship is apparent, paying $50 per person for a cramped 20 minute walk through is a bit high. The photo they take at the beginning is $35, just for the digital edition.... you can do better yourself during the event."
"The staff was really nice and helpful. However this hotel is not worth the price at all. I paid almost $250 a night for a “renovated” and “interior” room, which was just a small basic room. They’re doing construction so all you hear all day is jackhammers and pounding. I’ve stayed at better motels for under $100. The layout of the hotel is strange and the pool is in the middle of all the rooms, so the whole hotel strongly smells of chlorine and bleach."
"The conference that was being held at the Gaylord sent us to this for reservations. My room was on the exterior with not one, but three locks. There was hair in the sink, the room smelled of cigarettes. You can hear the noise from the highway that the hotel faces. I ended up requesting a room switch, and since the hotel was booked the interior room was not available for the 6 nights I had booked. I am thankful for the amazing service of the management, she was very empathic in my concern for safety in the exterior room. She switched me for the interior room for the only night they had and cancelled my remaining nights. This hotel in under renovation and does not appear to be ready for another year. The renovated interior room I was allowed for the one night was very nice and clean. I ended up booking with a brand new Hilton that was cheaper literally around the corner. My room rate went from $275 to $150 a night at the Hilton. It was a much nicer hotel for a much better price."
