National Car Rental

"We experienced a flat tire on the first car we rented. We were able to take it to an Enterprise location and get a different car. We had some safety issues with it an needed to change it out. We contacted National at the San Diego airport and told us to bring it there an get a different one. Instead, we contacted the Enterprise locations and they were able to get the tire fixed on the first and we were able to get it back the next day. While this was not a great experience, everyone involved tried to do what they could to help make us happy."

"I originally reserved what I thought was a Ford F-150 pickup truck, but when I arrived at the SAN airport rental facility there was no Ford F-150 available. I was provided with a a Dodge Ram pickup, which was brand new, 91 miles on the odometer. The National personnel were very professional and polite. The reason I take issue is I wanted, and reserved, a Ford F-150 specifically. I imagine there might have been “fine print” on the web site for “substitution”? I an interested in purchasing a Ford F-150, and this was my opportunity to get a good test experience. The provided Dodge Ram pickup was a safe and new vehicle, but not what I thought I had reserved. So, my issue is with the “web site, or in my case the “App”. I’ll still use National. Thank for allowing me to whine a little!"

"Great experience with National at the San Diego airport. We were expecting we would get a mid size Corolla type vehicle from the Emerald Aisle. Upon arrival the rep asked us if we would like a free upgrade to a large SUV. We ended up with a new Expedition that was immaculate. Thank you for a seamless and pleasant experience at a very competitive price."

"As a National Executive Elite member, I usually am pleased with the customer service at most of the National locations. But the staff at the San Diego Airport location were extremely helpful and provided excellent service. The car selections were great and my rental was actually throughly cleaned (which is hard to get at times). They were also very kind about providing me with an upgraded car. The return process was fast and simple. The staff who inspected the return was very polite. I will definitely recommend."
