In corning shopping ceter with Starbucks, gas station, CVS. Near schools and 101 freeway."

"Clean, employees are reasonably polite and helpful but not necessarily friendly. Relatively small store physically but they seem to have everything a larger store would usually have. I didn't see alcohol but I wasn't looking for it."

"The store doesn’t know what they’re doing. My brother has down syndrome and receives $150 a month in Medicare grocery credits to be redeemed at California. Grocery stores statewide (nationwide?). Whenever we go to the location on Camino Real or in Millbrae we have no issue using these funds. Every once in a while to check out person doesn’t recognize the payment method, but the manager always knows exactly what it is and helps us with no issue. At this location, two different managers haven’t recognized it and just aren’t interested in helping us. When I call customer service, they say that store managers are trained on government food programs, and should be able to help us and only give me the option to file a complaint on the specific manager, rather than actually helping us to make a phone call so that we can purchase our groceries Using funds and then paying for the remainder out of . That’s no problem at all, we will continue to shop at all of the other Safeways and grocery stores (target, and Trader Joe’s) that know what they’re doing."
