"Excellent. Bought my second firearm from here today. Service is always Good. Line is a little long but I can deal with that. The gentleman who helped me goes by the name “Christopher” very helpful , very knowledgeable across an array of firearms and accessories."
"Turners used to be barely tolerable but they are close by so convenience was a big thing. However it appears that over the last few months the entire staff has quit and been replaced. they cant seem to keep a cashier for more than two months. The wait times have gotten out of control for buying ammo/firearms. It used to be that if you needed to purchase ammo you could do that while other sales people took care of the gun purchases but they now require you to pull a number to buy ammo. The last two times i bought ammo there I had to wait 2 hours just to get a box or two. Their service has gotten so slow that plus their not great prices that it is now faster and cheaper to drive to Bass Pro in San Jose to buy ammo. That's ridiculous. Until they make some changes in wait times I will not be going to turners anymore."
"DO NOT BUY A GUN HERE. You’re better off driving a few hours to somewhere that understands how to run a business rather than wait 2 hours to be able to look at the guns and then wait another 2-4 hours when you go to pickup. What a joke! When I arrived to pick up my already purchased guns they were on number 55, 1.5 hours later they were on 63, 2.5 hours later on number 66, with 3 guys working behind the counter! I waited over 3 hours (listening to a group of employees laughing in the break room) before they got to my number, which was only 20 past the number they were on when I arrived. They need to have one employee dedicated to pickups and the other two can deal with all of the people who want to look at 20 guns and not purchase any. Their system is ridiculous. It is broke. They need to fix it. Either limit the amount of time each customer has with a sales representative and/or have one person dedicated to “releases”/pickups! The manager, Brandon (who was hiding in the back the whole 4 hours I was there waiting to pickup) isn’t any better than the sales people. He said, “if you don’t want to wait you can go somewhere else, all of the employees are new.” Really? Sounds like an issue with management if you have that much turnover and you aren’t on the floor helping your team. I would have much rather gone somewhere else, unfortunately my purchase was already made. Don’t waste your time here. It’s a mess."
"Horrible service. Got charged for something I didn’t get and got told everyone is allowed mistakes. I said I completely understand that but I’m not paying for their mistakes. They told me to find somewhere new to shop."
"I had an extremely disappointing experience at Turner’s Outdoorsman-Salinas. The overall customer service was subpar, and I left feeling frustrated and uninformed. The employees are arrogant and patronizing, mainly the Heavy-set employee. I went there on Sunday, December 03, 2023 @ around 3:15pm. I was there to transfer 2 firearms to my sister. When walking towards the store two male employees were outside the store and asked for me to give them my weapons, which were in cases inside a backpack before entering the store, “got to make sure” one said. Once on the counter, I told them I was there to transfer ownership of 2 guns to my sister. Since my sister needed a FSC, they said is not possible because it was less than 2 hours before closing time. I asked one of them about using real ID and the process to do the transfer; the heavy-set man kept interrupting the other employee and responding before I even finished my questions, arms crossed, leaning back on the counter and not even looking at us. I was really respectful that I didn’t comprehend their attitude. I know is California, different laws and rules apply, so I wanted to know the process. I am Law enforcement officer and Army veteran 11 year service. I would not recommend this store due to the poor service and lack of professionalism."
