"I have a 2022 Honda Civic Touring 17k miles. I brought my car in for a “Sticky Steering Wheel”. 1/22/24. After service diagnosed my vehicle as having a “faulty steering rack” they made me aware that the part (new steering rack) was going to take several weeks to order and receive and to take my car back and bring it in once the part arrived. I refused as it was a safety concern and left the car in their care. I asked for a loaner as they state on their website as part of their complimentary service and my service advisor (Joey Limon) stated they “DO NOT PROVIDE LOANERS”. After calling Honda Corporate and opening a claim and 3 days of back and forth. 1/24/2024 I was called by the service manager at Thousand Oaks and provided a loaner through enterprise as he stated their fleet of loaners were all taken at the moment. I had to Uber from my home in Simi valley 93065 to Thousand Oaks Honda (19 miles) to retrieve the paper stating they were covering the loaner for enterprise. From there I was driven in a “Honda shuttle” about 1 mile over to enterprise, to pick up my loaner as they stated it had to be the enterprise next to Honda and not near my home. That was $30 out of pocket expense for my Uber from my home to Honda. While Honda only provided $50 flat rate each day, it left me driving enterprise’s cheapest rental, a base corolla for a month. The loaner did not have all the comfort options my 2022 civic touring includes, but I was just content with having a vehicle to get to and from work and not have to use an Uber like I did for the previous 3 days. My service advisor extremely lacked communication overall. Enterprise apparently had no contact with the dealer what so over, I just provide a paper from Honda stating to charge their business account for the rental but did not state how long I was keeping the rental. After 1 week enterprise decided to charge my credit card that I provided as a “DEPOSIT ONLY”. I was charged $350. After I found the charge on my credit card, I called the Honda dealer to express my concern and the service advisor finally did his job and called enterprise to address the issue and provide a time frame when the vehicle would be completed and when they should expect the rental back. Enterprise refunded the $350 back to my credit card. I expressed to the service advisor to please communicate with me in regards to the vehicle and asked for an update, he stated they were still awaiting the part and that he did not have any estimate time of completion. For the next 3 weeks I did not get an update and I get a call on 2/23/24 at 8:07 am that my vehicle was done and ready for pick up. I had to leave work early, cancel all my plans, I had to commute in heavy traffic to make it to enterprise and the dealer as they both closed at 6pm. I arrived at enterprise at 5:14pm and arrived at the Honda dealer for pick up at 5:30pm. None of my paper work was complete and I had to wait an additional 30 mins to receive my paperwork and keys to my vehicle. Upon receiving my vehicle I noticed they attempted to wash my car. My car was left with tree sap, water spots, swirl scratches, there was dirt, leaves, tree branches, and debris all through the crevices of my vehicle. Inside my engine bay and when I opened my trunk compartment. It was extremely disappointing how my car was treated and my overall experience. I take pride in the ownership of my vehicle and the sacrifice it takes to own and pay my vehicle each month. Just sharing my experience so everyone can be aware before bringing you vehicle here."
