Katsu Bar

"The katsu sandwich was pretty good, perfectly fried, as well as the French fries. Fries are like a combination of Carl's Jr waffle fries and Jack n the box curly fries. I didn't really like the brioche bread, it wasn't soft, texture was like old white bread, but the regular bread looked pretty good. The sandwich is pretty big too. Coleslaw is pretty standard. Easy parking, food was quick, service is good. Bathroom is oddly huge for one person at a time. Update: Everything is mostly self serve now. Kiosk to order and pay (you can still pay with cash), beverages are self serve, including water, and to go boxes are also self serve. Servers come out to bring food, condiments, and other stuff from the kitchen. I actually like it this way. I tried the Pork Katsu plate, I liked it, I just think it needed more curry."

"We saw pictures and thought the food looked so good but it’s definitely not as good as it looks. We got the egg sando and it turned out to be a pre packaged refrigerated egg sandwich. We also got the Nashville hot chicken and it was sooo sweet like sugar overload. The waffle fries were good. But yah I wouldn’t go back it looks good in pictures but the taste doesn’t match."

"First time here, a friend recommended it and it was worth a try! Inside the small plaza across the street from the huge plaza with Vons, KBBQ, home depot, In-N-Out, etc. Is this place. Good food, simple, quality meat. The service was great, wasn't busy, young man was super helpful and polite, thank you. I enjoyed the spicy katsu chicken burger, the waffle fries included are also really good. No complaints."

"1st time here. Had the rosemary katsu chicken sando with spicy mayo. It was nice and crunchy and the chicken was still juicy. Egg salad sand was also really good. And the tempura cauliflower was awesome. Definitely going back."

"Never had Katsu or Japanese curry…. Honestly, when we go out to eat we typically gravitate towards American, pizza, steaks, etc… We saw that this location was having a grand re opening and were very curious to try a new style of cuisine because the breading in their photos that they posted on social media looked amazing and we wanted to see if that’d be the case in person as well! WOW! Can’t even tell you HOW HAPPY we are that we went there! Like very much impressed! So impressed we’ve gone back to try other dishes! We got a little of everything to try and OMG everything has been phenomenal! The Katsu chicken and pork were both so very crispy while maintaining great juices! We ate them inside sandwiches, buns, on top of their special Korean tteokbokki and all were amazing! Omg the portabello mushroom sandwich is a sleeper toooo!!! And then dipping it into the incredible Japanese style curry is NEXT LEVEL! We gotta try a curry plate next time cause wwwooowww!!! The ambiance was also great! This location has location specific items like the fact that you can enjoy like yogurt soju which is totally a must try, beers on tap and the Yubu pockets were adorable, flavorful and very unique! The bulgogi one was epic! Seriously everything there is absolutely incredible whether you get a sandwich, plate or even the sides like their tempura cauliflower, Korean gang jung, spicy kimchi Mandu…. All of it! Highly recommend Katsu bar!!! You’ll definitely be glad you tried them!"
