Reviews
"La Marcha stood out on reviews and I knew it would be on my list during a visit to Berkeley. I arrived about 20 min after they opened and it was already bustling with diners. I sat at the bar and waited a little longer than preferable for service. The service felt stiff at first but warmed up quickly. I ordered the goat cheese stuffed peppers, patatas bravas with aioli, and the pork belly. Everything was rich, flavorful, and well prepared. The pork belly was seared to absolute perfection and melted in my mouth. Thank you for a wonderful dinner, La Marcha!"
"This was my first visit, and it exceeded all expectations. We arrived just in time for Happy Hour, and it was the perfect opportunity to explore their diverse tapas menu. We started with their red Sangria, a delightful blend of wine, oloroso sherry, and px sherry. It set the tone for an evening of culinary delights. Among the tapas we ordered, the Patatas Bravas stood out with its crispy potatoes and spicy calabrian sauce. The sauce was so delectable that my partner and I couldn't resist finishing every last bite. The Albondigas, featuring beef and boar meatballs in a sherry tomato cream with manchego, were simply divine. The flavors were rich and harmonious. The Croquetas de jamon, black forest ham and Swiss fritters with bell pepper jam, were a delightful indulgence. They were hot, crispy, and the filling was bursting with flavor. We also savored the Croquetas de bogavante, which were lobster, shrimp, and cheddar fritters served with preserved lemon aioli. The combination of seafood and cheese was a pleasant surprise, and the aioli complemented them perfectly. Every bite was a burst of flavor, and the quality of the ingredients was evident in every dish. I'm already looking forward to my next visit when I plan to try their Paella. *I highly recommend making reservations in advance. The restaurant's space is cozy, and seating is limited. Alternatively, if you're up for it, sitting at the bar is a great option"
"Great food! Tried the albondigas, croquetas de cangrejo, calamari, paella, and "cheesecake". Squid ink was delicious. Only wish they had bigger seating area. Recommend making reservations ahead of time. Off street parking can be a challenge finding a spot. Will return to try more items! Returned and had the paella mixta, mushroom croquetas, and dessert with a bottle of wine I took. Corkage fee is $25. Mushroom croquetas filled with delicious, smooth, velvety cheese. Only downside to this meal was the shrimp not being deveined. Prefer their cheesecake dessert. This one was a bit dense, but I loved the cream and pistachios. Overall another excellent meal!"
"Fabulous food! Out of my order, I like the potato bravas and mushroom croquettes the most in terms of taste. The presentation of pork belly and slow cooked octopus is very nice."
"Unique little spot with lots of sharing appetizers (tapas). I would say they are on the smaller portion size so you may need more than you'd expect. It's a bit of a small room that fills up quick and gets kind of loud, but the ambiance is still cozy and personal. I would definitely bring my wife out on a date here. Their beer selection was small with just one ipa but it was an outstanding choice, wine is definitely the drink to go along with the vibes. The food was good, and the service was great. Next time I have a chance to come here I will definitely order the paella."
