"Beef noodle soup seemed freshly cooked, but should’ve gotten the spicy version as it needed a bit more flavor. Beef roll with chives was ok. Pork over rice was not bad."

"Easily one of the best spicy beef noodle soups I've ever had. Broth wasn't overly greasy, beef was tender. The thick noodles were extremely filling for $14.50. I'll definitely visit again."

"A&J is a old classic taiwanese cafe that has been around for a a looong time. I’m from norcal and everytime I go down to Irvine this is my go to place to visit (aside from the boba spots lol) Any of their dishes that have the minced pork is a must have and their side dishes usually are solid choices. Their beef roll or beef noodle soup is also good if you’re feeling that. Tea is $2.50 per person just a fyi During peak hours there will prolly be a wait but they’re pretty efficient on that so shouldn’t be too long. Parking might be hard but still manageable in the plaza Its a must try!"

"Some of the best Taiwanese food I’ve ever had. Love A&J! Parking can be a little difficult in the plaza but the food is worth it. The spicy wontons with hot sauce is a perfect balance with flavor and vinegar - highly recommend!"

"Been coming here since they opened in the late 90s. In fact some of the servers are still from the original crew. Service is efficient and food generally comes out pretty quick. It gets quite crowded around meal times so prepare to wait or come early. Highlights of the menu for me are the meat pie (餡餅) and fried chicken (paired with rice or noodle are both good)."
