Sun of Wolf is a unique and intimate restaurant located at 406 California Avenue in Palo Alto, California. Drawing inspiration from the flavors of Jalisco, Mexico City, and the Bay Area, our menu reflects the diverse influences of our childhood and heritage. Our talented Chefs, Efrain Montano & Paulina Sol, create dishes using locally sourced ingredients, handmade tortillas, and fresh produce.
We pride ourselves on providing warm hospitality and a welcoming atmosphere for friends, family, and loved ones to gather and celebrate. Join us for dinner Wednesday-Saturday from 5pm-9pm, with Happy Hour from 4:30pm-6pm, or for brunch on Saturday and Sunday from 10:30am-2pm. "The food is wonderful. My only complaint with a place is that it is pricey, and maybe overpriced for what it is. That said, it is very very delicious food. We came here for happy hour. I would say the happy hour selections are not terrific. We were happier when we got a table and ordered off the regular menu. The appetizer that is simply melted cheese is marvelous. And the tacos were delicious, but as I said probably overpriced. And the desserts were lovely. I hope this place makes it, but I think they need to have a better happy hour with good deals."
"Incredibly talented chef. I stopped for just a quick bite and the staff greeted me and found me a spot outside in their beautiful patio. Angelica was a great waitress who helped me through the menu and pointed me towards a brand new dish just added this morning. I figured I would try it and was blown away by what the chef created. Called the “regalito” it’s an appetizer but fit perfectly for a filling small dish for myself. Definitely will return again and try the rest of the menu!"
"Holy smokes this place was awesome. Great cocktail, and my bar tender Josue was superb. A trendier, more upscale version of Mexican food but without sacrificing flavors or the hominess or authenticity."
"Our new favorite brunch place. We will go back to try their breakfast burrito and more. We shared the pancake which was delicious. I had the chicken mole tacos and hubs had the egg avocado breakfast sandwich with potatoes. We both had the Mexican Olla coffee. All delicious. Highly recommend."
"My friend and I wanted to be healthy and opted for a salad. I added Salmon and my friend chose chicken. The salmon was a generous portion and served with a glaze. The flavors of the salad, the dressing, and the salmon went perfectly together. My friend loved the chicken. The portions were generous and we had enough left over to take home. The biggest surprise were the cocktails. Beautiful to look at and delicious to the taste. I’m already planning my return visit to try other entrees"
