"It was my second time visiting Italico in Palo Alto. The first visit was 3 months ago, I ordered Spagetti di Mare and Shrimp as the side. While waiting for the orders to be served, they gave us bread and butter. It was all superb! The food, ambiance and the service. So I recommended it to my friends and brought them there last night (same location). For last night’s dinner, we had 2 pizzas (Margherita and San Danielle), Ravioli, Trofie, Spagetti di Mare, Shrimp and French Fries. I re-ordered Spagetti di Mare because I super love it from the last visit. Here’s my experiences last night: 1) The noodle pasta for Spagetti di Mare was overcooked and not warm. 2) Pizzas and all other dishes except for the French fries was cold. 3) They did not gave us bread while waiting for our orders but the other table had. I know we said to serve it all together but atleast warm it up or cook it all together at the same time so it’ll still be warm and not overcooked. It is probably my last visit for this restaurant. I really hope they have consistency and improve more so they can still get a Michellin Star this year."

"Italico restaurante is the more upscale sister restaurant of Terún. It is get crowded very fast and the service is prompt. The pizza that we ordered were deceivingly simple but delicious. I strongly recommend ordering Casio E Pepe to share. The Pollo Millanese was cooked just right (crunchy outside and soft inside). Furthermore, it has great selection of wine to choose, we ordered Bocca Della Verita Primitivo which was very good. We ended our dinner with chocolate gelato, strawberry Panna Cotta and espresso from cafe Vergnano brand. Overall I enjoyed the total experience."

"We went here with some friends. They have an extensive wine menu. We were able to get a good Tuscan wine. I enjoyed my pasta with white truffle. The husband had the salmon which was blend, not much flavor. We also had the brussel sprouts and the calamari as appetizers, which were yum. I guess they can work up the flavor in their fish dish to make it palatable. The service was great."

"Great Italian food. We started with the pulpo appetizer -- I'm not normally a fan of octopus since I always assume it'll be chewy, but I was amazed at how tender and flavorful it was! For the entree, I got the Nduja pizza, with spicy spreadable salami and zucchini -- delicious, and that salami had a nice kick to it. Service was excellent, and there's a lot of pleasant outdoor dining (as well as a semi-enclosed terrace that is essentially outdoors). Good choice for a night out!"

"It used to have the best Italian food (not the American kind) in the Bay Area, but the most recent visit was a little disappointing. While the appetizers and pizza are still amazing, two entrees were basically cold and steak was strange, almost like they tried too hard to mimic Florentina style but with the wrong kind of beef. Still a very good place to enjoy an evening!"
