"This place is a terrible example of a co-op. The staff are extremely rude every time I have gone in. Is it because I'm on food stamps? And why on earth would you charge for a shopping bag when no other grocery store in the valley does that. If you are on food stamps then you get free shopping bags. Ridiculous. If you are not rich, don't shop here. The owners don't ever address reviews that touch on their racism and rudeness to humans. Go anywhere else!"

"This place is amazing. I used to live in SF and would only shop at Rainbow Grocery because it was so wonderful. This place is a lot like Rainbow. The staff is super friendly and helpful. A mom was feeling sick and the staff stepped up to provide support for her and her son. It was beautiful."

"Had the vegetarian version. Had the hot pinto bean and cheese burrito. Felt like a good value because the weight was over half a pound easy. Great flavor!! Excellent vegan option everywhere."

"This place has some great tasting deli food, with vegan options. But budget friendly it is not! You will easily spend 1.5-2 times for the same items here compared to the value kart across town. The produce is always high quality and I will say the produce can be competitively priced at times. But if you are on a budget, the other departments get expensive quick. I've found the cheapest meal there is the vegan rice, bean and cheeze burrito. I'm glad they still keep that reasonably price and it's super tasty. Also you are sure to be entertained with the crowd that the hippie store draws. As a certified crunchy hippie, the crowd here is really trying to embrace the crunch while living in million dollar homes and driving $70k cars. Don't get me wrong, there are some certified OG hippies that hit up the co-op but they blend in to the produce a little more ;)"

"The Ashland Food Co-Op is basically the Whole Foods of Ashland. It's really nice inside. The aisles are spotless and they have a large holistic medicine section. On top of the regular brands you'd expect to see, they have some interesting cheeses and organic cooked chicken options. There is a coffee shop and eating area inside in case you want to do a lunch or snack there. It's definitely worth checking out if you want to pick up some specialty items that the other grocery stores might not carry."
