"Absolutely no registers for normal check out only self checkouts which are almost impossible for doing large transactions. And no one watches the self checkout at all so it takes forever to get any help on anything."

"I go into this this dollar general almost every day and usually I have a great experience but today. My husband accidentally left a bag behind so he went back up there and upon entering the cashier told my husband that he had left it there and she had just put the stuff back up. He had a few more things to get so when he came back to the line the manager told him that she watched the camera and he took two bags out which is true but he had three even with the cashier telling her she wouldn't give him the stuff we had already paid for. I won't be going back here again she basically was calling him a theif and I think she just did this to him because he's black because I'm white this is the first time we've been as a couple and I've never been treated like this before"

"If I could give this store a -1 or a ZERO, I would. First & foremost, the self-checkout never works. Apparently it doesn't take cash, yet there is a spot to insert it and no sign that says OUT OF ORDER. Secondly I went in with my daughter to purchase a gaming card, she saved up $30 of her own money. The cashier seemed like she was having issues with it and when we walked out my daughter & I both said, something didn't feel right. Sure enough we get home & the card doesn't work. So I call the store 5 TIMES, no answer. We go back to the store and the lady says there is no manager there and their phone is broken. She calls the manager from her cell phone and then tells me there is nothing she can do, come back tomorrow for a refund. I go back and not only did NO ONE help me, no one listened to anything I had to say. This is the WORST customer service I have ever experienced! The manager didn't care and the corporate person that was there in regular clothing emptying boxes was the rudest of them all. They acted like I did something wrong, provided zero assistance and clearly need to be trained in Customer Service, Empathy and Communication. I called Corporate and I'm waiting on Laura McConnell, the District Manager to get back with me. I will NEVER shop at this store again. In conclusion - No Customer Service, NO working phone, NO manager on-site."

"The store was well stocked and very clean. It was also well organized, with all the holiday items centralized. The employees were amazingly helpful and friendly while I wandered around, asking if I needed help. The only issue came at checkout. I had used the digital app (because everyone likes to save money on necessities!). But the registers both failed to complete the transaction after subtracting two of my five coupons... the manager had to manually complete the checkout with a forced override. Overall it is a great place when you need a few things or even a lot, usually not extremely busy, but always a few customers."
