"I absolutely love this park. My dog does too but I'll even come here by myself just to wind down. It's got a nice walking path, exercise stations, nice fields, it is very peaceful here when there's no games going on and it definitely gets crowded when there are games so I usually try to avoid those times. Has bathrooms too with water and soap and paper towels"
"Mid-day during the week, the park is lovely. The park is clean and few people out walking, running, walking dogs etc...The evenings is a whole different story. Park is packed with some sports activities and a lot of food gatherings. Bathrooms are absolutely disgusting!!! Not a comfortable welcoming environment after 5pm."
"Went here for my daughters softball tournament. It was a pretty nice place. Typical park. Bathrooms were out of order though."
"That was my first time going April 5th and I like the park but the people that live in that area I did not appreciate their looks of disgust. My boyfriend was there playing the empire has the only black man out there and I can see from the ugly stairs and the indirect words towards my children that they were not fond of black people being in Algonquin. I did have a couple of words with a lady who spoke negative words and she claimed it was a mistake. See the population is nothing but Caucasian people. When the game was over one of the players said that the empire sucked and their coach and their mother or father did not correct them.i we they get away with alot.. nobody spoke and said hi everybody just looked and kept walking to their cars. This park is not welcoming unless you look like them. Oh yeah the lady said to my children when I was not around that she doesn't like knickers, she was corrected by me in a very polite and respectful way. As I am a businesswoman with two businesses and I am a book Author with degrees, I will not be disrespected by any race for anyone. I get along with everyone and I'm very empathetic towards everyone but if you're wrong you're wrong. Algonquin needs to change and be more open to this diverse world."
"Well kept and excellent family venue. Never had a problem with the other people who use the park or with the grounds being unkept. In winter the ditches fill with water and freeze. When you walk over the ice it satisfyingly cracks."
