"unfortunately this is the 1st and last time i’ll bring my dogs here. I have bulldogs and they have the be FULLY dried otherwise their wrinkles will get raw and become hot spots. my poor guys face was not dried and now both sides of his snout and raw bloody and sore. he has NEVER had that before. not once! i’m very good about keeping their wrinkles clean and dry. the next pic is my other dogs nails. they were long bc she had bad anxiety so we only do nails when they’re long. however the way they were cut doesn’t even look like anything was taken off. i’m highly HIGHLY dissatisfied. i’ve never had my dog groomed before I usually do all their grooming and after this I will continue to do so. so if you have a wrinkly dog, i’m not sure this is the place for grooming. the spots on my boys face my require a vet visit if i can’t clear it up in a day or 2."
"Just brought my dogs here for the first time today! It was perfect. The dogs cuts all look amazing! No little scratch marks or anything which shows the attention to detail! What a great job for a great price!!"
"I started taking my dog here after a less than desirable experience at PetSmart. The groomer offers first class service all the way, and was very reasonably priced. When I picked up my dog, she even put on a bandana. I have taken him back several times and have been pleased each time. I would recommend taking your dog here."
"Kathie the owner at Hometown Pet grooming is very pleasant, has a clean facility, has reasonable prices and she does great work. I trust Kathie very much when it comes to taking care of my babies when I take them to her to groom. I have no issues with Kathie as she is the best groomer around in the area."
"Dealing with the place was a nightmare! To preface my review: my dog is a 6 year old, well-behaved, well-trained, miniature poodle. He has been going to groomers his entire life and hasn't had a problem aside from a stray snip to the back when he was a wriggly puppy. We told the dog's weight and was quoted $36-40 depending on the cut. We got the most basic cut possible and were charged $42 because the dog was "bigger than she thought" (I'm sorry my dog is a healthy and trim 14lbs!). A $6 price difference is not the reason I'm complaining, however. Our dog was apparently unsupervised during his visit. He was able to completely chew through his leather collar AND car harness, which were inexplicably placed in or near his cage. We are incredibly lucky he did not choke or eat a metal piece. The owner said that such chewing could have taken place very quickly, which I disputed, given the thickness of the leather collar. Regardless, whether it was 5 minutes or 500, the dog was put in a situation where harm could have easily come to him and the owner was unapologetic about it. We tried to reach out to the owner to ask her to replace the materials, which cost us an additional $20. Instead, we were rudely treated. My wife was hung up on twice. I called later in the day and was the owner was condescending; the owner insisted that her practices were perfectly safe and required no changes. I was polite during the whole conversation, but the owner was consistently aggressive and unpleasant. There are a million places to get your dog groomed. I would go through every one of them before patronizing Hometown Pet Grooming Again."
