"For some reason my review on Jay's Plumbing website haven't popped up. I guess they didn't like it. I put a second addition on my house back in 2008 and Jay's Plumbing has done a plumbing for this project. The first problem they haven't installed a seal around exhaust vent on the roof, first rain, there you go get a water inside of your house. Second, sewer stack wasn't properly connected to the existing one and again, I had a leakage. But main complaint after all this years passed, HOW could you hang a water supply pipe on outside bare wall without insulation??? All those years I had my humidifier running, means I had water running through pipes almost non-stop. This year during coldest week (which is a last week) I shut it off due to problem the moister in the house and it was collecting on the windows and getting ice at the bottom of my windows. I shut my humidifier off and the same night I had a frozen pipe. After investigation I found frozen spot in the pipe hanged on the bare wall. HOW??? I lost a day from my job to restore water supply. Maybe I should call this guys to fix a problem they crated back in 2008? Another thing, during construction guy fixed some problem on existing plumbing without even notifying I will be billed for it. I hate to write negative reviews, never do this, but this time I am so frustrated."
"Update: Jay's response to this claims the phones were down and they are contacting me which is a lie. No one has reached out to me or stopped by the house they trashed. They are just saying this to try to look better to make it look like they care...they do not. And if the phones were not working then how was I able to speak to someone each time I called and each time I was told Ashley was in a meeting and would send you a message. Was the internet or cellular service down too? We called Jay's Plumbing for a clogged drain next to a toilet. The adjacent tubs had sewage water mixed with drain cleaner backed up. The shower had 3" of standing sewage water. George, who arrived in a 24/7 Plumbing truck, which by the way shares the same license as Jay's, formally located off Ogden Avenue in Downers Grove, said he would have to pull the toilet to get a camera in the line. George was informed there was a significant amount of drain cleaner in the drains and tubs in our attempts to fix the problem. At no time did George caution us on any potential problems as a result of pulling the toilet. 10 minutes later, he pulls the toilet and does not siphon the sewage water out of the adjacent backed up toilet and tubs and floods our bathroom and downstairs. I immediately called Jay's and asked for a supervisor to go to the house. I was told, "everyone is in a meeting." We spoke to a "supervisor" later on George's phone who said no one was available to come out and someone would call us. George reset the toilet and left saying, "I'll let my office deal with this." He had to use our own bath towels to clean up his mess but left when our ceiling was still leaking and we were left to clean it up ourselves. Our property sustained significant damage. We lost personal property damaged from the sewer water mixed with drain cleaner and have a damaged ceiling. We have called eight times asking for Ashley (Ellis), the "supervisor" to call us back and have repeatedly asked for the insurance information. All of our calls have been ignored. This occurred over two weeks ago and we have still received nothing from Jay's and/or 24/7 Plumbing. After this incident, we spoke to someone else who used Jay's and learned the same pattern of company response to a problem."
"1.) Prices are sky high for simple job. $389 for changing a faucet and $150 for changing angle valves. I was able to DIY both jobs in less than an hour. 2.) Plumber could have been polite. Someone else commented they were talked down and I concur."
"Bob was kind, knowledgeable, helpful, and very reasonably priced. I was able to get same day help and it could not have been easier or gone smoother. I am extremely pleased and will 100% use their services again in the future. Highly recommend."
"What can we say, we LOVE Jay's Plumbing! We have been using Jay's for years and are always extremely satisfied. Keith & his crew are amazing! They show up, work hard, and stay as long as it takes. They are professional in all they do and are exceptional at working with the utilities companies, as well as doing all the prep work ahead of time lining up the permits necessary to begin their work. They are also fantastic at keeping us informed of their progress as they work. They definitely go above and beyond and do it all with good-natured cheer!"
