"Winona hasn't looked this good since I brought her home from her breeder. I have visited SO MANY other groomers, and Winona was always done in an hour with tons of perfume and mats in her fur. While she was definitely better maintained by other groomers than what I was doing at home, I was annoyed that she had mats in her neck fur and under her legs. I was at the point where I was chopping out mats within the hour of taking her to the groomer. When I brought Winona in this Monday (March 6) to Canine Parlor, she had been to another groomer in January. Her fur was a mess from an unsuccessful home grooming including a really bad coat cut and compaction that prior groomers failed to remove. Whenever I walked Winona, many people recommended taking her to Canine Parlor. I had resigned myself to the fact she probably would come home from the groomers shaved because of how bad her matting was. Laurie and her team did a fantastic job on Winona. It took them two days to remove all the mats and to clean up Winona's fur. (6 hours total) They even had all the groomers working on Winona at one point. Winona's fur hasn't been this soft and mat-free since July of last year. I am so happy with Canine Parlor, and I highly recommend them to anyone with a double coated dog. Avoid the headache and heartache of seeing other groomers. This is true for any fellow rough collie owners out there. Believe me, I have been to so many groomers in the area. While they did a better job than me, they still weren't providing me the service I paid for. I was told Canine Parlor was more "pricey," but they honestly were charging the same as other groomers. Canine Parlor is the only groomer that gave me a mat-free, happy puppy. Canine Parlor also provided home grooming tips. There is some damage to Winona's fur they couldn't fix (and it will have to grow out), but I 100% will be a repeat customer. Keep up the good work!"
