"We had our pup cleaned for the first time. The young lady was awesome. While our pup was being groomed, the young lady in the store helped us purchase items for our new pup. She couldn’t be more helpful."
"Molly was reluctant to go inside for her grooming but I picked up a very happy and energetic little girl after her grooming. Thank you to thee grooming staff for making Molly's experience a great one. She loves her bandana :)"
"Staff were friendly and great with my pup. It’s a small place though so the barking dogs in the kennels are right next to the grooming table. I was told that end of day is less busy if you want a bit more privacy for you furbaby."
"First time having my dog groomed at Petco. I am overall content about my dogs grooming experience. They only issue I had was that my dog and I both waited over an hour before she was finally groomed and im only about 20 minutes and my dog was ready for pickup. I have a French Bulldog and being a bracheocephalis breed, the wait time was not acceptable and my dog was in a crate waiting way too long to be contained, especially with the weather being 112*! We will probably try one more time before I decide I will bring her or not again. We also had an appointment but that didn’t matter either. It was just way too long of a wait for me and my pup."
"I have raised and trained dogs since I was 15 years old. I'm 50 now. I have been a Petco Customer for 16 years or more. I have purchased all my dog’s food training aids and other pet products from them. I have not begun using Petco's grooming services until the last 2 years after moving from my home state of NC to Texas. We had a private local groomer in NC. In this move to TX. I was not able to bring all my dogs with me. I brought my own personal Service Dog "Sasha" with me. Sasha is a pure bread Black Labrador Retriever. She is now 13 years old. Sasha being 13 has some expected health issues. She has food allergies, so she is on special diet. She has arthritis in her hip joints and some small signs of hip dysplasia as is to be expected for a dog her age. She is being medicated by her Vet for all her health issues. Upon moving into our current apartment complex, she picked up a flea infestation. We found out about is as we took her to Petco Grapevine to have her bathed and groomed. Their "Groomer" informed us this one time that she was not going to do anything further than bathe her, that she was suspecting that she had become anemic from the fleas. This worried me so I took her to her vet the next day who tested her and ran PCV/CBC blood samples as well. My vet said she is fine. No Anemia and no heart worms or any other type of parasite. Now having this report form my vet I tried to schedule her for another bath and nail clipping - They refused to see her. They say their "Groomer" who is NOT a veterinarian says her health issues are too degraded for them to see her. I explained I had a report of good general health from my Vet discounting their so-called diagnosis. Petco has decided that they will no longer work with my Service Dog based upon a young girls (groomer) vast experience with animals despite the lack of her non-existent veterinarian education or degree. I was told that despite the physical report I have from my vet - they (she) would still have to evaluate her for service - the same NON-Veterinarian person who THOUGHT she had Anemia.... So, taking my animal to the vet was a waste of my time and money. They had already made up their mind they wouldn't see her again. OK this may be their prerogative but, I will Never darken the doorway of another Petco as long as I live. I don't know how many decade+ dedicated customers you can lose before it begins to impact your business bottom line but, from some of the other reviews I have read on Petco from other internet sources your well on your way to having to close your doors in defeat. I say if you’re going to make these decisions get someone who is at the very least, qualified to make these diagnoses."
